BepInEx-BepInExPack_V_Rising
BepInEx pack for V Rising. Preconfigured and includes Unity Base DLLs.
Preferred version: 1.733.2README
LongChat
LongChat lets V Rising players send longer chat messages without the game cutting them off at the normal chat box limit.
When a message is too long for V Rising to send normally, LongChat quietly sends it in safe pieces and reconstructs it for other LongChat users. The goal is simple: longer messages should appear as one readable chat message, not as chopped-up fragments.
Features
- Send longer messages in Global, Local/Region, and Clan chat.
- Reconstruct long messages into a single chat row for other LongChat users.
- Show reconstructed overhead speech bubbles for local chat.
- Preserve Unicode text, including accented characters, CJK text, Cyrillic text, and emoji.
- Avoid splitting slash-style commands, so commands keep their normal behavior.
- Leave normal system messages, colored messages, whispers, and short chat messages on the game's native path.
Requirements
- V Rising
- BepInExPack V Rising
1.733.2 - LongChat installed by both the sender and receiver for reconstructed long messages
Players without LongChat can still see the message pieces, but they will appear as readable [[LC1|...]] transport fragments instead of one reconstructed message.
Installation
Thunderstore / Mod Manager
Install LongChat with the Thunderstore App or a compatible mod manager. The required BepInEx dependency will be installed automatically.
Manual
- Install BepInExPack V Rising.
- Copy
LongChat.dllinto:
<V Rising>/BepInEx/plugins/
- Launch the game once to generate the config file.
Configuration
The config file is created at:
BepInEx/config/com.yssena.longchat.cfg
Useful settings:
MaxInputCharacters: maximum characters accepted in the chat box.SendDelayMilliseconds: delay between transport pieces.EnableGlobal,EnableLocal,EnableClan: enable or disable supported channels.EnableOverheadReconstruction: show reconstructed overhead bubbles for local chat.EnableOverheadWrapping: wrap reconstructed overhead bubbles across multiple lines.MaxOverheadCharacters: cap the overhead bubble text length while keeping the full message in chat.DisableSplittingForCommands: keep oversized commands from being split.
Compatibility Notes
- LongChat is client-side.
- Both players need LongChat to see long messages reconstructed into one chat row.
- Whispers are not currently split.
- Short messages use the normal V Rising chat behavior.
- If LongChat cannot reconstruct a message, it will fail visibly rather than silently hiding chat content.
Support
If something looks wrong, enable these settings, reproduce the issue, and share the relevant BepInEx/LogOutput.log lines:
[Debug]
LogTransportDiagnostics = true
LogIncomingRawMessages = true
LogPatchDiscovery = true
Disable raw logging after testing, because it can include private chat text.
