ValheimModding-Jotunn
Jötunn (/ˈjɔːtʊn/, 'giant'), the Valheim Library was created with the goal of making the lives of mod developers easier. It enables you to create mods for Valheim using an abstracted API so you can focus on the actual content creation.

Infernal Dyrnwyn
Rebalances Dyrnwyn and gives its secondary attack a full-circle Fire Nova.
Changes
- Base damage defaults: slash 125; fire 40; spirit 10.
- Each weapon quality level adds 5 slash, 5 fire, and 5 spirit damage.
- Both attacks gain 0.2% damage per point of the wielder's missing health, matching the Bloodstone effect.
- The Bloodstone bonus for both attacks can be toggled in the
[Bloodstone]config section; it is enabled by default. - Wielding Dyrnwyn can count as being near a fire for the wielder's warmth and cold protection; this is enabled by default and configurable.
- Secondary attack: Brenna's Fire Nova damage prefab and ring visual, using Dyrnwyn's slash, fire, and spirit damage values.
- Secondary stamina cost: 30; force multiplier: 4; stagger multiplier: 6; damage multiplier: 2.
- The Nova prefab supplies its native radius of 3. Its visual and delayed AOE follow the player while charging.
- Dyrnwyn's Fire Nova ring visual is scaled to 120%; its damage radius remains 3 m.
- The attack uses the
staff_trollsummonplayer animation trigger. - The Brenna nova plays the Staff of Embers fireball impact effect once at its original scale; its flame and smoke render at 50% opacity.
- The nova's spawned fireball explosion renders its flame and smoke particles at 50% opacity; sparks and shockwaves retain their original appearance.
Configuration
After the first launch, edit BepInEx/config/infernaldyrnwyn.mod.cfg to change
the base Slash Damage, Fire Damage, and Spirit Damage values in the
[Damage] section. The defaults are 125, 40, and 10. On a multiplayer server,
Jötunn syncs these admin-only settings to connecting clients and applies the
server's values while they are connected. The settings also apply locally in
single-player. Set Enable Effect in [Bloodstone] to false to turn off the
Bloodstone bonus for both attacks.
Set Enable While Wielded in [Warmth] to false to disable Dyrnwyn's warmth
effect. Both options are admin-only and sync from the multiplayer server.
Weapon quality bonuses are still added by the game.
Requires Valheim, BepInEx 5, and Jötunn on the server and every client. Install
the built DLL in a subfolder under BepInEx/plugins/. Jötunn config sync is
cooperative configuration enforcement; it does not prevent a modified client
from changing its own game code. This mod does not create or replace any game assets.
