Epic Loot Add-ons: all mods and settings

Add-ons for Epic Loot: enchanting from your chests, fixes, Lucky Loot messages, glow control and shardstone rules.

Below: every mod in this pack in detail, with all its settings and their defaults.

How it works

  • Open the settings (F1). At the top, 0 - Sub-mods has a switch for every mod in this pack: turn on only what you want. Switching one off removes it right away, no restart.
  • Below that, every mod has its own settings, under its name.
  • F1 needs a config manager mod, e.g. ConfigurationManager by shudnal (included in Digi Modpack). Without one the mods still run with their default settings, and you can change the settings in r2modman: Config editor → digi.valheim.epiclootaddons.cfg.
  • Upgrading from the separate DigiTeam mods: your settings are copied over automatically the first time. Remove the separate ones (a mod that is still installed separately is skipped here).
  • Mods that need another mod only start when that mod is installed; the rest work without it.

Epic Loot Storage Materials

Switch: F1 → 0 - Sub-mods → Epic Loot Storage Materials (on by default).

Epic Loot's enchanting table only counts and takes costs from your inventory. This mod uses Epic Loot's own inventory-provider API to also use materials from nearby chests.

Features

  • Enchant, augment, upgrade, convert and other enchanting-table costs can come from nearby chests.
  • The Sacrifice tab also lists trophies from nearby chests (switch with the Include trophies checkbox above Select All); sacrificing takes them straight from the chest.
  • The Sacrifice tab can also list shardstones from nearby chests (Include shardstones checkbox, off by default so Select All cannot sacrifice them by accident).
  • Double output rolled per item: Epic Loot rolls the table's double-output chance once for a whole sacrifice (all doubled or nothing). This rolls it for every sacrificed item: same average, but 20 trophies can give anything from 20 to 40.
  • Only player-built chests that you may open, that nobody else has open, and that are not on a ship or cart are used.

Notes

  • Apart from trophies in the Sacrifice tab, item lists (enchant, augment, ...) still only show your inventory.
  • In multiplayer, only chests your game currently owns on the network are used (normally the ones near you).

Settings (F1)

In F1 these are under Epic Loot Storage Materials - ..., below the switches.

General

Setting Default What it does
Enabled on The enchanting table also uses materials from nearby chests (for enchanting, upgrading, sacrificing, ...).
Range (m) 50 Chests up to this many meters from you are used. (range 5 to 100)
Chest trophies in Sacrifice on The Sacrifice tab also lists trophies from nearby chests. Same as the "Include trophies" checkbox in that tab.
Chest shardstones in Sacrifice off The Sacrifice tab also lists shardstones from nearby chests (they turn into shards). Off by default, so "Select All" cannot sacrifice your stored shardstones by accident. Same as the "Include shardstones" checkbox in that tab.

Sacrifice

Setting Default What it does
Roll double output per item on The table's chance of double output is rolled for each sacrificed item, instead of once for the whole batch (all doubled or nothing). Same average, no all-or-nothing gamble.

Epic Loot Fixes

Switch: F1 → 0 - Sub-mods → Epic Loot Fixes (on by default).

Small fixes for Epic Loot, each switchable.

Fixes

  • Eitr cost in tooltips: Epic Loot's tooltip for enchanted items only showed the eitr cost when the item also had Spellsword, so enchanted staffs showed none. Now it shows whenever the item uses eitr, with Spellsword's extra eitr computed the way the game does.
  • Lucky Loot message: the Lucky Loot shard (on chest pieces) multiplies a creature's drops now and then, but Epic Loot only writes that to the log. Now everyone within the shard's range (100 m) sees "Lucky Loot! Boar: 6x drops, +2 magic item rolls" (center of the screen, or top left). The "magic item rolls" are extra chances (not guaranteed) on the creature's Epic Loot magic item table.
  • Lucky Loot on birds: Epic Loot only rolls Lucky Loot for creatures; birds (crows, seagulls) drop their feathers like a destroyed object and never got it. Now they roll with the same chance and multiplier.

Settings (F1)

In F1 these are under Epic Loot Fixes - ..., below the switches.

Lucky Loot

Setting Default What it does
Show Lucky Loot message on Show a message when the Lucky Loot shard multiplies a creature's drops (e.g. "Lucky Loot! Boar: 6x drops, +2 magic item rolls").
Message position Center Center: big message in the middle of the screen. TopLeft: small line in the top left corner. (options: TopLeft, Center)
Lucky Loot on birds on Birds (crows, seagulls) can get Lucky Loot too, with the same chance and drop multiplier as creatures. (Epic Loot itself only does creatures.)

Performance

Setting Default What it does
Faster chest loading on Epic Loot goes through every item of a chest each time the game loads it, also when nothing changed. With a crafting station open that cost 5-18 ms per frame (Local Craft From Storage loads every nearby chest for every material count). On: unchanged chests are skipped, with the same result.

Tooltips

Setting Default What it does
Show eitr cost on enchanted items on Show the eitr cost of enchanted staffs and Spellsword weapons (Epic Loot hides it).

Enchant Glow Toggle

Switch: F1 → 0 - Sub-mods → Enchant Glow Toggle (on by default).

Controls the visual side of Epic Loot enchantments: equip effects such as the Glowing aura and the texture replacements of some legendary items. Visual only; enchantments keep working.

Features

  • Appearance tab (CDEV Equipment Slots): when a slot shows the same item (or any item) as its appearance, hide that item's enchantment effects and/or legendary texture. Shared with other players who have this mod.
  • Enchant effects on legendaries: Epic Loot never shows the enchantment effects of a unique legendary that has no effect of its own (e.g. Glowing on a legendary set piece stays invisible). This shows them.
  • Auras on other players: Epic Loot only builds auras from your own inventory, so you never see other players' glow. With this mod everyone's worn auras are shared and shown.
  • Always toggles for your own screen: hide the Glowing aura, all enchantment effects, or all legendary textures.

Notes

  • Install on every player's game for the shared parts. Equipment Slots is optional.

Settings (F1)

In F1 these are under Enchant Glow Toggle - ..., below the switches.

Always

Setting Default What it does
Hide Glowing aura off Never show the light and sparkles of the Glowing enchantment, on anyone. Only on your screen.
Hide all enchantment effects off Never show any effect of Epic Loot enchantments or legendary items, on anyone. Only on your screen.
Hide legendary textures off Never show the special look of Epic Loot legendary items, on anyone. Only on your screen.

Appearance tab

Setting Default What it does
When to hide SameItem When a choice in the Appearance tab hides an item's enchanted look. SameItem = only when you pick the same item as its appearance. AnyAppearance = whenever the slot has an appearance. Off = never. Other players with this mod see it the same way. (options: SameItem, AnyAppearance, Off)
Hide glow and effects on Hide the item's enchantment effects (like the Glowing aura) when the rule above applies.
Hide legendary texture on Hide the item's legendary look (like the blue Heimdall armor) when the rule above applies.

Effects

Setting Default What it does
Show enchant effects on legendaries on Legendary items that have no effect of their own show the effect of their enchantments (like Glowing). Epic Loot normally shows nothing for them.
Show auras on other players on See the enchantment auras (like Glowing) of other players who have this mod. Epic Loot alone only shows your own.

Shard Exclusivity

Switch: F1 → 0 - Sub-mods → Shard Exclusivity (on by default).

In Epic Loot, effects can exclude other effects (for example Elemental Damage Dealt excludes every Add X Damage), and shardstones follow those rules. So a shard often cannot go into a weapon that already has a damage enchantment. This mod ignores the exclusion list while a shardstone (not a runestone) is being socketed.

Features

  • Shardstones ignore effect exclusions when socketing.
  • Enchanting, augmenting, runestones and loot rolls keep the full rules.

Settings (F1)

In F1 these are under Shard Exclusivity - ..., below the switches.

General

Setting Default What it does
Ignore effect exclusions for shards on Shardstones can be put into an item even when their effect normally clashes with an effect the item already has. Enchanting and loot keep the normal rules.
