Install and Join

Use this page for players installing FrostVale for solo play or to join Eldradia.

Install

1. Install Valheim through Steam.
2. Install r2modman or Thunderstore Mod Manager.
3. Select Valheim in the mod manager.
4. Search for FrostVale_ModPack_3.
5. Install the latest version.
6. Launch Valheim from r2modman or Thunderstore Mod Manager.

Do not launch directly from Steam when you intend to use the modpack.

Joining Eldradia

The Eldradia server is not public-listed. Use Direct Connect.

• Server name: Eldradia
• Address: <host address>:2456
• Crossplay: off
• Portals: disabled
• Maps: enabled

The host owns gameplay and config for ServerSync-capable mods. Those settings push to your client automatically when you join.

Why the same pack matters

FrostVale 3.1.0 retired the old split between solo, client, and server packs. Everyone now installs the same package so Jotunn sees the same modset on both sides.

If your client has extra networked-content mods that the server does not have, Jotunn can reject the join. The supported fix is to use the canonical FrostVale_ModPack_3 profile for the server.

Basic player troubleshooting

• Confirm you launched from the mod manager.
• Confirm the installed package is FrostVale_ModPack_3.
• Confirm the version matches the current server version.
• Do not add extra content mods to the profile you use for Eldradia.
• If you keep a separate solo profile, do not use that profile to join Eldradia unless it is exactly the canonical pack.
