📖 About the Modpack
The Viking's Journey keeps Valheim feeling like Valheim. The world, progression, combat, and crafting all stay exactly as the developers intended. No overhauls, no difficulty changes — just a wide range of quality-of-life improvements that make exploration, building, and progression more comfortable and immersive.
The only notable gameplay addition is a craftable backpack, which provides a bit of extra carrying capacity without disrupting the game's natural balance.
🛡️ Anti-Cheat & Fair Play
A key focus of this modpack is accessibility — especially when playing with friends on a server. The Viking's Journey ships with a fully pre-configured anti-cheat system developed by the legendary modder Azumatt, ensuring a fair and consistent experience for everyone right out of the box.
- ✅ No complicated setup or manual configuration required
- ✅ Whitelisted mod (required) configs are enforced by the server
- ✅ Greylisted mods (Optional) can be freely added, configured, or removed
Note: Whitelisted (required) mods must remain installed. The server checks that clients only use mods from the whitelist or greylist.
🔧 Installation
- Download the modpack via r2modman or the Thunderstore Mod Manager.
- Launch Valheim once with the modpack active.
- Open your BepInEx folder;
settings->browse profile folder->BepInEx - Copy the
pluginsandconfigfolder. - Paste them on your server
BepInExfolder. - Restart your server.
Note: this version of the modpack is just here to install the modpack on a dedicated server. Do not use this version of the modpack as a host or client!
⚙️ Configuration
All mods come pre-configured and dont need to be adjusted or changed.If you wanna adjust oder change anything, almost all mod settings can be changed on the server and will automatically apply to all connected clients. You generally only need to configure things once — on the server. The only exceptions are mods without server-side settings. Those need to be adjusted by each player individually, or configured by the server admin and shared via profile code.
👥 Sharing the Modpack with Friends
Players can set up their FastLink file themselves, or the server admin can handle it for everyone. If you want your friends to get the correct settings without any manual setup, export your configured profile as a code and share it:
