FindGameServer Mod
Live stats for your Valheim server's listing on FindGameServer.com.
This mod goes on your dedicated server only. Players don't need to install anything.
What it does
Every 30 seconds it tells FindGameServer who's online, so your listing shows a real player count and who's playing. Within a few seconds it also sends:
- shouts and normal chat (you can turn normal chat off)
- joins, leaves and deaths
It never sends whispers, players' IP addresses or positions, map pings, or chat lines starting with /. It doesn't change your world.
Chat needs 2 or more players online. In Valheim, each player's game sends their chat straight to the other players, through the server. With only one player on, nothing passes the server, so the mod can't see it. Player counts and who's online work with any number of players.
Kick, ban and messages (optional)
Turn on AllowCommands and you (and your team) can kick, ban and unban players and send messages from FindGameServer's Server Manager or our Discord bot, Ping. Messages show in the middle of everyone's screen. Bans go in Valheim's own ban list (bannedlist.txt), so they stay even if you remove the mod. It's off until you turn it on.
Setting it up
- Your server needs BepInEx (BepInExPack Valheim). Many hosts have a switch for it.
- Add this mod to your server, or put
FindGameServerMod.dllinBepInEx/plugins. - Start the server once. The mod makes its settings file,
BepInEx/config/com.findgameserver.mod.cfg. - On FindGameServer, open your listing, then Manage › Live stats, and follow the steps to get your key.
- Paste your key into the settings file (the line
Key = …) and restart the server.
Your listing updates within a minute. Live stats on the listing are part of FGS+.

Is my key safe?
FindGameServer only accepts reports that come from your server's own address, so a copied key can't be used anywhere else. You can make a new key at any time on FindGameServer, which stops the old one straight away.
