Trash Item
A small Valheim quality-of-life mod for quickly removing items from the player inventory.
Overview
Trash Item adds a simple delete action for the currently dragged inventory item. When enabled, you can remove an item from your inventory without dragging it to the ground or using a modded inventory cleanup workflow.
This plugin is designed to be lightweight and easy to use in normal gameplay.

Installation
- Download the mod DLL.
- Place it into your Valheim BepInEx plugins folder.
- Start the game and load the mod.
- Open the BepInEx config file if you want to adjust settings.
Typical install path:
- Windows: SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Valheim\BepInEx\plugins
- Linux: ~/.steam/steam/steamapps/common/Valheim/BepInEx/plugins
Usage
- Open your inventory.
- Press left click to select the item you want to remove.
- Press Delete, or trigger the configured delete action.
- The item will be removed from the player inventory if it is present.
Configuration
The plugin exposes a few general settings in the BepInEx config:
- Enabled: turns the mod on or off
- Debug: enables debug logging
- Item Delete: triggers the delete action
- Show Messages: displays messages after delete attempts
Notes
- The plugin only removes items currently held in the player's inventory.
- It requires the inventory to be visible when the delete action is triggered.
- If no item is selected, the mod will show a message indicating that no item was found.
