What this mod does
Replaces Valheim's vanilla soundtrack with carefully selected Nordic dark folk and folk metal tracks. Music is organized by context: biomes, bosses, combat, home, menu, morning, evening, and sailing.
Requirements
- BepInExPack_Valheim (denikson)
- CustomAudio LocationMusic (aruberuto) — required for loading custom music, including location music
Installation
Option 1: Automatic (Recommended)
- Install using r2modman or Thunderstore Mod Manager with a single click.
Option 2: Manual Installation
- Install BepInExPack_Valheim.
- Install CustomAudio LocationMusic.
- Extract the contents of this mod's ZIP file directly into your Valheim installation folder.
- Ensure the music folders are located precisely at this path:
Valheim\BepInEx\plugins\VikingFolkMusic\CustomAudio\Music\ - Launch the game. Music will load automatically.
Compatibility Note (Seasonality)
If you use Seasonality (RustyMods) or other weather/season changing mods, you may experience unexpected silence or vanilla tracks returning.
