README

Eternal Fires

Keeps fires burning without fuel. Campfires, hearths, bonfires, torches and braziers stay lit permanently and consume nothing. Smelters, blast furnaces and other stations that burn fuel never run out of it, so there is no more coal to feed them.

Features

  • Fireplaces of all kinds stay lit forever with no fuel.
  • Smelting stations never run out of fuel.
  • Each part can be turned on or off in the config.

Installation

Install with a mod manager, or copy EternalFires.dll into BepInEx/plugins. Requires BepInExPack Valheim.

Fuel is handled on the game of the player who owns the object, usually the one nearby. Each player who wants this installs it on their side. A dedicated server does not need it.

Configuration

The config file BepInEx/config/com.bouns.eternalfires.cfg is created on first launch. It can also be edited in game with a configuration manager.

Setting Default Description
Enabled true Master switch. false = base game fuel.
Fireplaces true Campfires, hearths, bonfires, torches and braziers stay lit with no fuel.
Smelters true Smelters, blast furnaces and other fuel stations never run out of fuel.

Changes to Fireplaces apply to fires as they load, so reload the area or relaunch to see the change on fires already around you.
