BetterSummon
Take control of your summons.
Features
- Variant wheel — with a summoning staff in hand, hold left click for one second to open a radial
wheel and pick exactly what you summon:
- Dead Raiser: sword, sword + wood shield, sword + bronze buckler, archer;
- Spirit Caller: bear, moose, wolf, boar;
- Trollstav: fists, log. A short click summons the current variant (vanilla cast), Shift + click summons the next one. Your choice is saved per staff, with your character.
- Dismiss all your summons from the wheel.
- Stance: aggressive (vanilla) or passive (only fights back when hit).
- Orders: follow, or guard — they stay where they are and wander around; if you get more than 40 m away they walk back until they are within range again, and stop there.
- Formation: followers walk in an arc behind you instead of converging on you and shoving you around. Spacing adapts to the creatures' size.
All vanilla rules still apply: staff quality, Blood Magic skill, maximum number of summons.
Settings
Press F1 (Configuration Manager): hold duration, modifier key for the next variant, guard leash distance, formation radius and spacing, debug logging.
Installation
Required on the server and every player (version-checked by Jötunn). Nothing to configure server-side.
