⚠️ Compatibility:
- Pseudonym and the CharacterEdit mods (cjayride's and aedenthorn's) do the same character editing; while one of them is installed, BodyReplacer leaves character editing to it (and says so in the log). Remove it to use BodyReplacer's.
⭐ Features:
- Draws female characters with the Einherjar body and male characters with Einherjar's male body; each can be turned on or off.
- Restyles character creation and the barber to match the Mod Settings panel:
- a Hair Style window with the hair style, the beard on the male body and, on the Einherjar bodies, a hair colour picker;
- an Appearance panel with eye colour, glow and iris size, body shape sliders (the male body has a Muscle slider), male or female, and skin tone;
- an Armor panel with a dropdown each for Helmet, Body Armor and Leg Armor, listing every piece in your inventory (None takes it off);
- a Tattoos panel with a design and an ink for the Face, Chest, Back, Arms and Legs.
- Zoom the character preview with the mouse wheel, and drag the background with the right mouse button to turn around the character or move up and down the body.
- Hair styles for the female body: Ponytail, Long Loose, Tousled Crop, Messy Bun, Mohawk, Blunt Bob, High Ponytail, Long Ponytail, Messy Topknot, Slicked Tail and No Hair; for the male body: Quiff, Messy Topknot, Mohawk, Slicked Tail, Side Part, Spiky Crop, Wild Spikes, Pompadour and No Hair. All are coloured with the hair colour picker, with a skull cap in the hair's colour under them so the scalp doesn't show through.
- Nine beards for the male body, fitted to its face and following its jaw and expressions: Wild Beard, Full Beard, Goatee, Anchor, Mutton Chops, Circle Beard, Short Goatee, Handlebar and Moustache, coloured with the hair colour picker.
- Norse and Celtic tattoos, 47 designs drawn on the skin across the five areas: Elder Futhark runes, knotwork, the valknut, vegvísir, Helm of Awe, triskelion, Horns of Odin, Yggdrasil, Jörmungandr, valkyrie wings, crossed swords, a shield and axes and more, in seven inks. Painted armor covers them, and other players see them.
- A character select screen in the game's own look: your characters in a list (most recently played first, with where each is saved and when it was last played), and the five most recent sitting on the ground around the menu's fire. Click one, or its row, to select it: it stands up and the camera moves to it. Hover over one to see it emote; double-click to play. The arrow keys or the D-pad move through the list, Enter or the A button plays, Escape or the B button goes back. CharacterSelect turns it off. (Off by itself while Cartur's Character Select is installed.)
- An Edit button on the character select screen lets you change an existing character's name (up to 20 letters or digits) and look. Done saves the changes to that character, Cancel leaves it as it was.
- VillagePlebs companions can be drawn as Einherjar too (turn on CreaturesAsEinherjar), and its Looks panel gives them an Einherjar hairstyle, a beard, hair and eye colours, body shape and tattoos.
- Capes move with cloth physics.
- Vanilla armor is refitted to the new bodies, and the Bear armor's war paint is redrawn for them.
- Armor from other mods, made for the game's own body, is fitted to the Einherjar bodies by itself: the first time a piece is worn this takes a few seconds, and the fit is kept on disk after that.
- Hands grip weapons and bows properly, and the spine bends to follow your aim while drawing a bow.
- Helmets, hats and hoods can be hidden so the hair stays visible (the helmet still counts for armor and effects).
- A hotkey (F8 by default) opens the style screen anywhere. Done, or the hotkey again, keeps the changes; Cancel or Escape restores the old look and armor.
- Languages: English, Russian, German, Chinese, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish, French, Polish and Turkish, following the game's language setting. The files are in
config/BodyReplacer/Translations/<Language>/BodyReplacer.json: change one, or add a language by copying the English file to a folder named after it, and the game picks it up while it runs.
🎚️ Configuration:
Settings are in BepInEx/config/MagicMike.BodyReplacer.cfg (or edit them in r2modman/Gale/Configuration Manager). Edits to the file apply while the game is running. The ones marked (server) are synced from the server (or the hosting game) and are the same for every player; the rest are each player's own.
- General
- FemaleEinherjar (server) draws female characters with the Einherjar body. Off: the game's own female body.
- MaleEinherjar (server) draws male characters with Einherjar's male body. Off: the game's own male body.
- StyleKey opens the style screen anywhere (F8 by default).
- CharacterSelect shows the character select screen as a list, with your most recent characters around the fire (on by default). Off: the game's own screen.
- Look
- HideHelmets hides helmets, hats and hoods on Einherjar characters and keeps their hair (off by default).
- HideHairWithHelmet hides the hair completely while a helmet is shown (when HideHelmets is off).
- CreaturesAsEinherjar (server) also draws the creatures that are built on the player model (such as VillagePlebs companions) as Einherjar; see-through ones, such as ghosts, keep the game's ghost look.
- ToonShading lights Einherjar characters with the game's stepped (toon) lighting, like the vanilla character.
- BowAimBend bends the spine to follow your aim while drawing a bow. BowPlugin and BetterArchery take over when installed.
- Underwear (server) shows underwear on Einherjar characters where no armor covers them (her bra and pants, his briefs), and keeps the Berserker chest's top. Off: none.
- FitOtherArmor fits armor from other mods to Einherjar characters. Off: such armor is not drawn on them.
- FirstPerson (off by default) is for first-person camera mods such as Azu's: while the camera is inside your character's head, the head, hair, beard and helmet are hidden but still cast their shadow.
🌐 Multiplayer:
- The mod is required on the server and by every player, with the same major version.
- FemaleEinherjar, MaleEinherjar, CreaturesAsEinherjar and Underwear come from the server, so everyone sees the same bodies.
- Your appearance choices are saved with your character and seen by other players who have the mod.
