NH VLCE Jester Armor
A full jester armor set in black and bronze plate, veined with purple chaos fissures, from the Nostalgia Heroes / Necroverse Heroes collection.
Features
- Three separate pieces, each with its own worn model, ground model and inventory icon:
- VLCE Jester Helm (prefab
NH_VLCEJesterHelm, helmet) - VLCE Jester Armor (prefab
NH_VLCEJesterArmor, chest armor with gauntlets) - VLCE Jester Legguards (prefab
NH_VLCEJesterLegguards, leg armor with boots)
- VLCE Jester Helm (prefab
- Iron tier: the recipes and stats are copied at runtime from the vanilla iron armor (
HelmetIron,ArmorIronChest,ArmorIronLegs), so they always match the iron set of your game version. - Crafted and upgraded at the Forge.
- The worn models follow the character's animation like vanilla armor. The skin that each piece covers is hidden (helm: head and neck; armor: torso, arms and hands; legguards: hips, legs and feet), so no skin pokes through. Male and female bodies are both supported.
- No set bonus, no special effects.
Recipes
Same as the vanilla iron armor:
| Item | Station | Min. level | Cost | Upgrade cost (per level) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| VLCE Jester Helm | Forge | 1 | Iron 20, Deer hide 2 | Iron 5, plus 1 Upgrader2Armor |
| VLCE Jester Armor | Forge | 2 | Iron 20, Deer hide 2 | Iron 5, plus 1 Upgrader2Armor |
| VLCE Jester Legguards | Forge | 2 | Iron 20, Deer hide 2 | Iron 5, plus 1 Upgrader2Armor |
Upgrades work exactly like the vanilla iron armor: the same upgrade item (Upgrader2Armor), the same iron cost per level, and each higher quality needs one more Forge level. The recipe is copied from the vanilla iron recipe every time the game loads its item database. If the vanilla recipe can't be found, the mod falls back to the values above without the upgrade item and writes a warning to the log.

UseVanillaArmorShader:truerenders the armor with a copy of the vanilla armor material, so it's lit like vanilla armor.falseuses the Unity Standard materials from the bundle instead.BaseSmoothness: smoothness of the black plate, leather and purple areas (lower is more matte).MetalSmoothness: smoothness of the bronze areas.Metallic: how metallic the bronze areas look (the black areas are never metallic).AlbedoMultiply: darkens the colors (1 = unchanged). Keep it at 0.8 or higher so the purple fissures stay visible.HideHair/HideBeard: whether the helm hides hair and beard.HideCoveredBody: hides the skin under each equipped piece. This takes effect on the next equipment change.

Installation
Use a mod manager (r2modman / Thunderstore Mod Manager). For a manual install, copy the whole package into BepInEx/plugins/NecroverseHeroes-NH_VLCEJesterArmor/, keeping the plugins/NH_VLCEJesterArmor folder with the DLL and the nh_vlcejesterarmor bundle.
Requires BepInExPack_Valheim 5.4.2351 and Jotunn 2.30.2.
Multiplayer
The mod is required on every client and on any server (including dedicated servers), all at the same version. The item names NH_VLCEJesterHelm, NH_VLCEJesterArmor and NH_VLCEJesterLegguards stay the same in future versions, so saved armor keeps working.
Testing
With devcommands enabled: spawn NH_VLCEJesterHelm, spawn NH_VLCEJesterArmor and spawn NH_VLCEJesterLegguards.
