📖 About
Horse is a custom creature mod that adds a new rideable animal and a variety of new items to Valheim. You can tame it, ride it, have it pull your horse cart, breed it, and store items in its saddlebags.
⚠️ Warning: Please delete your old.cfgfile and allow a new one to generate on first launch.
⚠️ Note: This mod may not be compatible with SkilledCarryWeight.
⚠️ Reminder: Use this mod at your own risk. Always back up your character and world files before installing or updating.
⚒️ Core Features
- Horses spawn in the Meadows biome, and only on sunny days — so they are intentionally rare.
- Horses may spawn with different coat textures and patterns.
- Horses can be equipped with horse armor, granting a bonus to health.
- Horses can be commanded to Wait Here with a configurable hotkey.
- Horses can pull the horse cart.
- Horses can be tamed using Blueberries, Carrots, Cloudberries, and Barley.
- Tamed, saddled horses can carry a saddlebag inventory, accessible with a configurable hotkey (default: B). Saddlebag size is fully configurable. Items stored in the saddlebags will drop on the ground if the horse dies. Disabled by default — enable in the config when ready.
- Horse offspring will flee from players — keep the area enclosed when breeding.
- Taming and growth times are roughly equivalent to those of the Lox.
- All of the above is configurable via the config file, and syncs with server/admin settings.
