This mod requires the following mods to function
denikson-BepInExPack_Valheim
BepInEx pack for Valheim. Preconfigured with the correct entry point for mods and preferred defaults for the community.
Preferred version: 5.4.2333README
ReefClient
The Reef's own client-side companion. You get it through the TheReef modpack; you do not need to install it by hand.
What it does
- Lets a friend raise you at your grave. Dying is unchanged; the black screen that follows now waits a minute instead of ten seconds. Press Space to respawn at your bed as usual, or wait — a friend who holds F for 5 seconds on your grave brings you back standing on it, with a short buff and the skills the death took (your countdown starts over the moment they begin). E on a grave only opens it, as in vanilla. While you aim at a friend's grave with F held, F does not fire your Forsaken power. Your things stay in the grave.
[Revive]in the config: the delay, the keys, the buff, or off. - Shows a clock under the minimap: "Day 12 · 14:30 · night in 4 min" - the day, the time (06:00 sunrise, 18:00 dusk) and how long before night falls, or before dawn.
[Clock]in the config to hide, move or resize it. - Keeps your adrenaline between fights: the gauge (trinket equipped) waits 30 s before it starts draining and then drains at 0.3 to 1.0 points per second instead of 1 to 4. Filling it is unchanged.
[Adrenaline]in the config. - Takes a stump out in about three swings instead of ten, and it almost always leaves the seed of its tree. Living trees are untouched.
- Harvests a whole patch in one gesture: hold Shift while you pick and everything within 3 m comes up with it - berries, mushrooms, crops, flint, stone, branches and beehives. Each pick is the normal one, so your skills, your drops and the regrowth are unchanged.
- Puts a portal already standing in your base back on the rule the server currently sends, so it stops letting through what the realm says it should not. Only if you run Advanced Portals.
- Can light your torches at nightfall and put them out at dawn, without resin - off by default since 0.4.8, because the realm asked for vanilla torches back. Turn
[Torches] LightAtDuskon if you liked them. - Keeps your food near its full value for most of its duration, then lets it drop off sharply, instead of fading from the first bite. Adapted from Crystal Ferrai's Sated (Apache-2.0), same settings, same feel.
- Shows a small counter under the minimap: Odin's favors. It stays hidden until the realm gives you your first one.
- Lets the realm's director change the sky and the wind on your screen (rain for a scene, a fair wind for a voyage). It resets on its own.
- Says "Item Composted" instead of "Item Deleted" when the Compost button (RecyclePlus) takes an item.
[Compost]in the config. - Sends a copy of what you type in chat to the server, so the director can hear you even when you play alone. It never reads your chat.
What it does not do
- On a server that does not run the Reef's server tools: no counter, no weather, nothing sent. Only the food curve still applies, because it is computed on your own machine.
- No commands.
reef.client.cfgholds the counter's position and size, the deposit settings, the harvest key and radius ([Harvest]), the torches switch ([Torches]) and the food curve ([Food] Enabled, three exponents) if you ever want vanilla food back. - No planting grid. If you still have PlantEasily installed it is switched off at startup; press F8 in game to wake it for a session.
- Nothing on a solo or local-host world: there is nobody there to raise you, so the death screen stays vanilla.
- Nothing to your inventory, skills or items. The food curve is the one thing it changes, and only on your own screen.

CHANGELOG
Changelog
0.6.5 - 2026-10-25
- The compost says so. When you drop an item on the Compost button (RecyclePlus) and nothing comes back, the
message now reads "Item Composted" instead of "Item Deleted". "Item Recycled" is unchanged.
[Compost] Enabled = falserestores the mod's own text. Does nothing without RecyclePlus. - Built on Valheim 1.0.20.
0.6.4 - 2026-10-14
- Fenrir armor: +12 % for a full set instead of +15 %. Chest and legs keep +5 % movement each, the helmet goes back to Therzie's own +2 %, at every tier. Players found +15 % too fast.
0.6.3 - 2026-10-14
- Therzie's Fenrir armor keeps the Fenris speed. It is crafted from Fenris pieces (+3 % movement each) but shipped
at +2 % or 0 %, so the upgrade was slower. Every Fenrir piece (silver, black metal, carapace) now gives +5 % movement,
+15 % for a full set. Armor, set bonus and recipes are unchanged.
[Fenrir] Enabled = falserestores Therzie's values. - Plants in a SeedBed look natural. Each plant gets its own turn, a slight lean, a size and a small offset in its
slot, the same for every player and after every reload. Visual only;
[SeedBed] NaturalLook = falserestores the straight grid. Does nothing when SeedBed is not installed. - Built on Valheim 1.0.17.
0.6.2 - 2026-10-11
- Raising a friend is now a gesture you hold: F for 5 seconds on their grave. A bar fills under your crosshair and you kneel beside the grave; let go, step away or look elsewhere and it stops. Pressing E on a grave no longer raises anyone: E only opens the grave, exactly as in vanilla, so nobody gets raised by accident while emptying a grave.
- The one you are raising sees it: "<your name> is raising you…" appears on their death screen, and their minute starts over the moment you begin, so the countdown can never cut you off halfway.
- F is also the Forsaken power key. While you aim at a friend's grave with F held, the power does not fire, so a revive never burns its cooldown. Anywhere else, F is your power as before.
- The grave now shows both actions:
[E] Open · [Hold F] Revive <name>, even when the grave has been emptied. - New
[Revive]settings:ReviveKey(F),ChannelSeconds(5) and the texts.Enabled = falsestill turns the whole revive off and leaves the grave, the death screen and the F key fully vanilla. - Built on Valheim 1.0.17.
0.6.1 - 2026-09-19
- Adrenaline drains a little faster again: 0.3 to 1.0 points per second instead of 0.1 to 0.5. The numbers 0.6.0
shipped were too generous — the gauge went down so slowly it stopped meaning anything. The pause before it starts
draining is unchanged (30 s, less when the gauge is full). You do not have to edit anything: your config file
updates itself the first time you launch this version, even though it was written by 0.6.0. If you had tuned the
four
[Adrenaline]numbers by hand, this overwrites them once — set them again and they will be left alone from now on. - Four guards around dying while the waiting room is open. One player reported a death that cost him nothing:
the death screen appeared, no grave was left behind, and he woke at his bed with everything still on him. Nothing
was duplicated — the grave never held anything — but the same accident could just as easily have gone the other
way and taken the grave away WITH the belongings in it. We have not proven the cause yet, so here is exactly what
changed and what each thing protects:
- the state of your body is written to your character file the instant the waiting room opens, instead of ten seconds later as the game normally does, so nothing older can be handed back to you;
- the waiting room can only ever end once, never twice in the same instant;
- when a friend raises you, we check that your character is really under your own game's control again, and take it back if it is not — that is the condition under which the game skips your grave entirely;
- and if it ever happens again, the log now says so in full words instead of staying quiet about it.
- If you died oddly at any point today, please send Synistro your
BepInEx/LogOutput.log— one line in it settles the question, and we would rather settle it than guess.
0.6.0 - 2026-09-19
- A friend can raise you at your grave. Dying is unchanged — the grave drops, the skill loss is the vanilla one, nobody is ever kept standing. What changes is the black screen after it: instead of respawning on its own after ten seconds, it waits a minute and offers you two ways out. Press Space and you respawn at your bed exactly as before. Do nothing, and any friend who walks up to your grave and presses their use key brings you back standing on it, with a short buff. If nobody comes, the minute runs out and the ordinary respawn happens.
- Your belongings stay in the grave: being raised puts you next to it, it does not hand the bag back.
- Being raised gives you your skills back. A death costs 5 % of every skill on this realm; a friend's hand undoes that. Respawning on your own — whether you press the key or let the minute run out — still pays the full vanilla price, exactly as before. Only the revive restores.
[Revive]in the config: switch it off, change the minute (10-180 s), change the key, change the buff or the lines you read, or turn the skill restoration off withRestoreSkills.- Both of you need this version. Raising someone is done entirely between the two players' games: yours has to send it, theirs has to listen. A friend still on an older version sees an ordinary grave and nothing happens — no error, no message, it simply does not fire. Nothing is asked of the server, and nobody is ever refused at the door for it.
- Solo and local-host worlds are untouched — there is nobody to raise you there.
- This is also the first public build carrying what 0.5.0 added — the day/night clock and the slower adrenaline drain — since 0.5.0 never shipped. See the entry below.
0.5.0 - 2026-09-19
- A clock under the minimap. "Day 12 · 14:30 · night in 4 min": the day number, the time of day (06:00 is sunrise, 18:00 is dusk) and how long before night falls, or before dawn once it is dark.
[Clock]in the config: switch it off, drop the countdown, move or resize it. - Adrenaline drains much slower out of combat. The 1.0 gauge under your stamina bar (it only exists with a trinket equipped) now waits 30 s after your last hit before it starts draining (vanilla 10 s, less when full) and then loses 0.1 to 0.5 points per second instead of 1 to 4, so a trinket's power survives the walk to the next fight. How fast it fills is unchanged.
[Adrenaline]in the config: the four numbers, in points per second and in seconds.
0.4.9 - 2026-09-17
- The Forge of Potential is sealed for now. Interacting with the new 1.0 upgrade station does nothing and shows "Odin has sealed this forge. Not yet." while the realm investigates a 1.0 bug (using it unlocked every recipe for a player on 2026-09-16). Your idols stay in your bag. Nothing else changes; the seal is lifted in a later version once the bug is understood.
0.4.8 - 2026-09-15
- Harvest a whole patch in one gesture: hold Shift while you pick and everything pickable within 3 m comes up with it. Each pick is the normal one, so your skills, your drops and the regrowth timers are exactly as if you had picked them one by one.
[Harvest]in the config: the key, the radius, a ceiling per gesture, and an option to take only the kind you clicked. - Planting is vanilla again, one plant at a time. TheReef no longer ships PlantEasily, and if you still have it installed this version switches it off for you (press F8 in game if you want it back for a session). The realm asked for the planting grid to go and the mass pick to stay - this is both.
- Torches no longer light themselves. The realm went back to vanilla torches: you light them, you feed them resin. If you liked the automatic ones, turn
[Torches] LightAtDuskback on - everything the 0.4.6 torches did is still in there, just switched off by default. - Portals now respect the realm's rule even when they were already built. Advanced Portals only applies a settings change to newly placed portals, so a portal standing in your base could keep an older list of what it lets through - which is how iron sometimes crossed when the realm said it should not. Each portal is now put back on the current list. If you do not have Advanced Portals, nothing happens.
0.4.7 - 2026-09-14
- Stumps come out in about three times fewer swings, and almost always (9 times in 10) leave the seed of their tree: beech, fir, pine, oak and birch. Living trees, logs and everything else are untouched.
[Stumps]in the config: the damage bonus, the seed chance, and the stump-to-seed list.
0.4.6 - 2026-09-14
- Torches light themselves when night falls and go dark at dawn, and never ask for resin again. Sconces, standing torches (iron, wood, green, blue), the three braziers and the jack-o-turnip. A torch put out by daylight KEEPS its fuel - nothing you fed it is ever wasted.
- Campfires, hearths, fire pits, ovens and smelters are untouched on purpose: those you still feed.
[Torches]in the config: turn it off, keep them lit around the clock, stop the auto-refill, or edit the list of pieces (the wisp torch is out of the list by default - the Mistlands is dark at noon and wisps cost something).
0.4.5 - 2026-09-14
- The food curve moves in here: food keeps nearly its full value for most of its duration, then drops off sharply, instead of fading from the first second. Same formula and same settings as the Sated mod the pack used to ship (
[Food]section, exponents 8/8/8) - nothing changes in game. - TheReef therefore drops Sated and ConditionalConfigSync. Those two refused a connection whenever the server and a player disagreed on Sated's version, and Sated always demanded its own exact version, so every release upstream locked someone out of the realm. Adapted from Sated by Crystal Ferrai (Apache-2.0).
0.4.4 — 2026-09-13
- Fermenter: a mead base pulled from a nearby chest (AzuCraftyBoxes) no longer vanishes. Valheim 1.0 changed the fermenter's network call; the pull sent the old shape, the fermenter refused it and the base was already out of the chest. The call is rewritten on the fly. Client-side only.
0.4.3 — 2026-09-13
- Quick deposit asks EquipmentAndQuickSlots itself which items sit in its slots (0.4.1/0.4.2 still sent the Z/V/B quick slots to the chests in play). The log line now says how many items were kept in slots.
0.4.2 — 2026-09-13
- Quick deposit only fills chests that already hold the item; what no nearby chest holds stays with you (the "nearest free chest" pass of 0.4.0 is now the opt-in setting
[Deposit] Any chest, off by default).
0.4.1 — 2026-09-13
- Quick deposit never touches the EquipmentAndQuickSlots slots again: the hidden slot rows (equipment, quick slots Z/V/B) had slipped through the "row 3 and down" rule in 0.4.0 and went into the chests. Only the visible grid (rows 3-4) is deposited.
0.4.0 — 2026-09-12
- Quick deposit moves EVERYTHING from row 3 down (rows 3 and 4): first into chests that already hold the item, then what is left into the nearest chest with a free slot. Hotbar, row 2 and the equipment/quick slots stay with you. New setting
[Deposit] First row(default 3) replacesIncludeHotbar.
0.3.1 — 2026-09-11
- Quick deposit leaves the EquipmentAndQuickSlots slots alone: food in a quick slot (and anything EAQS stamps as a slot item) stays with you. Before, quick-slot food went into the chests like any stack.
0.3.0 — 2026-09-11
- Quick deposit: with the inventory open, press R (configurable) to move your stacks into every nearby chest that already holds the same item. Hotbar and equipped items stay with you. Chests in use, warded or private to someone else are skipped; backpacks are never touched. Range 20 m by default.
0.2.0 — 2026-09-06
- First public build. Favor counter under the minimap (hidden until the first favor), sky and wind receivers for the realm director, chat copy to the server. Proven in play on Valheim 0.221.12 with the Reef's server tools.
