VeinMiner

Mine entire ore deposits and quickly break trees with a single powered strike.

How to use

Hold Left Alt while striking a supported resource with the correct tool. VeinMiner applies enough damage to break the complete deposit or resource at once.

Release Left Alt to return to normal mining and chopping.

Supported resources

• Copper, tin, silver, iron scrap and muddy scrap piles
• Flametal, chitin and leviathans
• Beech, birch, oak, fir, pine, ancient and other trees and logs
• Yggdrasil and scorched trees
• Stone deposits

Support is controlled by configurable prefab-name fragments, so the list can be expanded without recompiling the mod.

Installation

1. Install BepInExPack Valheim.
2. Install VeinMiner with Thunderstore Mod Manager or r2modman.
3. Launch the game and hold Left Alt while mining or chopping.

For a manual installation, place ValheimVeinMining.dll in:

BepInEx/plugins/ValheimVeinMining/

This is a client-side gameplay mod and is installed on the computer of each player who wants to use it.

Configuration

Launch the game once to generate:

BepInEx/config/com.robgob.valheim.veinmining.cfg

The configuration lets you change:

• ModifierKey — the key held to activate VeinMiner. Default: Left Alt.
• TargetNameFragments — comma-separated resource or prefab-name fragments that VeinMiner recognizes.

Example:

TargetNameFragments = Copper,Tin,Silver,MuddyScrapPile,IronScrap,Flametal,Chitin,Leviathan,Tree,Log,Beech,Birch,Oak,Fir,Pine,Ancient,Yggdrasil,Scorched,Stone

Notes

• Use the correct pickaxe or axe so Valheim registers the original hit normally.
• Large deposits and trees may drop many items at once.
• Back up important worlds before using gameplay-changing mods.
• Built for Valheim 1.0.x with BepInEx 5.
