Bring Your Own Viking
Hearthbound is a shared hub world, not a fresh-start server:
- Your local world/seed stays your own — solo or with friends, build at your own pace.
- Hearthbound is where players meet up, party, trade, and run community content, without needing everyone online at the same time.
You can join using your local character, items included, and this modpack is configured so your local progression isn't forced to match the server's. Use the same profile for both if you want one character living in both worlds; keep a separate vanilla character if you'd rather play unmodded locally.
What's in the World
🗺️ The Lorekeepers
Three keepers hold the thread through the world's tiered dangers: Haldor, then Hildir, then the Bog Witch — each running their own branching conversation. Defeating a keeper's Biome Lords reveals that the next keeper exists, but never where to find them. Finding them yourself is the point, and it's rewarded the moment you do.
⚔️ Biome Lords
A boss-tier Lord guards every biome, from Meadows to Ashlands, summoned once you've proven yourself a hunter. Fell one and you keep its trophy — a permanent blessing — plus a Forsaken Power to wield in the fights still ahead. This feature is powered by TaegukGaming-BiomeLords, now updated to version 0.6.6.
📜 Living World — Daily & Seasonal Events
The world keeps moving even when you're not actively questing it:
- Daily Rites — recurring turn-ins and tasks that reset with the server's clock, like the Bog Witch's daily forage.
- Weekend & weekly events — heavier content that surfaces on a cadence, including the Dvergr Challenges for anyone raising companions.
- Seasonal events — limited-time content like Midsummer's Bounty, dropped in for the season and pulled once it passes.
🤝 Lost Scrolls II — Dvergr Companions
Free corrupted Dvergr instead of killing them, and recruit them as companions that level up, fight, do chores, sail, and travel at your side.
🏆 Companion Tournaments & Duels — LIVE
A Tournament of Dverger Companions is coming to the server.
Seal your finest Dvergr into a Communion Totem, register through the in-game Tournament panel (F7), and lock it in when the host opens the bracket. Single elimination, double elimination, or round robin — when a round goes live, your companion is summoned to fight at full health, automatically. Win by strength, seeding, and skill; the last companion standing is written into the Hall of Champions.
Every duel your companion wins — 1v1 or party, tournament or casual — gets broadcast to Discord and server chat. Build a reputation one bout at a time.
🏪 Simple Market
A player-driven economy with asynchronous trading — list or buy from a market area without needing to be online at the same time as anyone else.
🛒 Trader Additions
One unified interface across Haldor, Hildir, and the Bog Witch, with progression-aware pricing, plus daily bounty contracts to chase for rewards.
