EmoteSkills
Train your skills with emotes. Link any emote to one or more skills, then hold it to level those skills. Emotes like Vibe, Dance, Sit, Kneel, Relax, Rest and Headbang keep going until you move, which makes them handy for AFK training.
Default emotes
Every skill has an emote by default.
Endless emotes keep going until you move, so they're good for AFK training:
| Emote | Trains |
|---|---|
| Vibe | Run, Farming, Crafting |
| Dance | Jump, Dodge |
| Sit | Cooking, Riding |
| Kneel | Sneak, Block |
| Relax | Fishing |
| Rest | Swim |
| Headbang | Fists, Pickaxes, Wood Cutting |
Sitting in a chair, bench or throne counts as the Sit emote. You can turn this off with
ChairCountsAsSit.
Short emotes only train while they play:
| Emote | Trains | Emote | Trains | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Toast | Cooking | Bow | Bows | |
| Thumbs Up | Crafting | Shrug | Crossbows | |
| Cower | Block | Cry | Knives | |
| Challenge | Swords | Despair | Pickaxes | |
| Roar | Axes | Cheer | Wood Cutting | |
| Flex | Clubs | Blow Kiss | Elemental Magic | |
| Point | Spears | Love You | Blood Magic | |
| Wave | Polearms | Come Here | Elemental Magic, Blood Magic | |
| No No No | Block | Laugh | Swim, Dodge |
Change any of these in the config, for example by moving weapon skills onto Dance to train them AFK.
How fast?
By default an emote trains a skill at twice the rate of doing the real action. Running gives Run about 1 point per second, so Vibe gives it 2 per second. The game's normal skill-gain bonuses and level curve still apply.
Every skill has a base emote rate of 1 point per second (the [BaseRates] section). That
matches the game's usual pace: running, swimming, fishing and riding give 1 point per second,
and hits, blocks, jumps and crafts give 1 point per action. With the default 2x multiplier,
every linked skill gains 2 points per second.
Sneak and Dodge use the same 1 per second whether or not anyone is around. In the base game they gain less (sneaking with no enemies near, or a plain dodge roll).
Configuration
Edit BepInEx/config/EmoteSkills.cfg (created on first launch), or change settings in game
with Configuration Manager.
Changes made in game apply right away.
