Changelog

1.3.2

  • Items now show on Gnar. Picked-up items were invisible on both forms. Gnar borrows Commando's item display rules through anchors on his own bones, so items sit on the same body parts and follow the Mini/Mega swap and skin changes.
  • Every skill hit is tagged with its skill slot, so items that boost primary/secondary/utility/special damage now count Gnar's hits.
  • Commando's death and bark sounds no longer play on top of Gnar's own death line.
  • Skill and skin icons no longer keep a spare CPU copy in memory.

1.3.1

  • Tooltips and README now match the 1.3.0 numbers: Boulder Toss 560% in an 8 m blast, Wallop 600%, Hyper's third-hit burst, and Mega's heal on hit were all missing or showing old values.
  • The transform voice line now plays (it pointed at a League event that does not exist).
  • Hyper's third-hit burst caps its max-health part at 600% damage. Uncapped, 8% of a boss's health pool every third hit melted Risk of Rain 2 bosses.
  • Audio shutdown no longer risks freeing a buffer the Windows mixer still owns when the game closes.

1.3.0

  • Projectiles now actually render. The cloned vanilla projectiles kept their addressable ghost key, which took precedence over the assigned prefab, so the game drew the vanilla ghost instead of Gnar's: the boomerang was invisible and the boulder was a placeholder ball. Clearing the key fixed both.
  • The boomerang spins about its face normal instead of tumbling end over end.
  • Mega Gnar is now the brawler half of the kit: +140 health (+35 per level), +60 armour, +55% damage, and a smaller speed penalty.
  • Mega heals 1.2% max health per hit (0.35 s cooldown) - a Sundered Sky-style sustain so he can stay in the fight.
  • Boulder: the projectile is generated as a lumpy rock mesh (no skin ships a rock), flies flatter and 70% faster, and the blast radius went 5.5 m -> 8 m at 5.6x damage.
  • Hyper: the third hit on the same target now detonates for 120% damage plus 8% of the target's max health, as in League.
  • Wallop: reaches 4.5 m ahead instead of 3.4 m, radius 6.5 m instead of 4.6 m, 6.0x damage.

1.2.1

  • Fix: the mod did not load when installed through r2modman or the Thunderstore app. The installer empties any top-level folder it does not recognise into the package root, so assets/ was flattened next to the DLL and the plugin died on a missing assets/skins.json. Everything now ships under plugins/, which the installer keeps intact. Installing by hand was never affected.

1.2.0

  • Audio now follows the game's own Master and SFX volume sliders (they were being clamped as if they were 0-1, so the SFX slider only muted), and parses them locale-independently - on a comma-decimal system a value like 55.5 could be read as 555.
  • Rage no longer fills from damage that has no proc coefficient: damage-over-time ticks and proc-less item hits were each paying a full hit's worth, so one bleed could max the bar.
  • Damage taken from a damage-over-time tick now gives a token amount of Rage instead of a full hit's worth.
  • Boomerang catch and return sounds play for the player who threw it, not only for the host.
  • Skill effects no longer spawn once per player in multiplayer.
  • Projectile visuals re-resolve the owner's skin every time they spawn, so pooled projectiles stop showing an older skin.
  • The skin row no longer wraps itself when ScrollableLobbyUI is installed, since that mod already does it.
  • Truncated sound clips are cached instead of being reallocated on every cast.

1.1.0

  • Voice lines and skill sound effects: 167 League clips, mixed through the Windows audio device because the game's own audio engine cannot take custom sounds.
  • New Audio config section: master switch, voice volume, effect volume.
  • Skin row in the Loadout tab now scrolls horizontally instead of running off both sides of the panel, so all 44 skins can be selected.
  • Boomerang Throw flies about 28 m instead of 10 m.
  • Hop keeps your running momentum instead of overwriting it, and no longer bleeds speed while airborne.
  • Mega Gnar is about 4 m tall instead of 2.7 m.

1.0.1

  • Docs only: the Wallop entry in this README claimed a 1.5 s stun; the skill applies the game's standard 1 s stun, and the in-game tooltip already said so.

1.0.0

  • First release: Gnar with Mini and Mega forms, Rage, eight skills, and all 44 League skins.
