Southpaw Systems
A Company-approved contractor. Probably.
Kirk's in-house overhaul of Lethal Company v81: quality-of-life features, fixes and suits built in one place, plus the handful of bigger mods it builds on (moons, interiors, MoreCompany, Mirage...). Install it with r2modman and everything comes with it.
Everyone in the lobby needs Southpaw Systems installed.
Settings
Every Southpaw Systems feature lives in one file: BepInEx/config/SouthpawSystems.cfg. Each feature has its own section with an Enabled switch. Changes need a game restart.
Keys can be set to a key name like G, or a Unity input path like <Mouse>/forwardButton.
Southpaw Systems also ships with settings for the mods it includes: 300 starting credits, up to 10 players, a 30-item dropship, extra ship monitors and more. Starting credits only apply to a new save.
Features
Ship and crew
- Dropship: the item dropship comes down as soon as you order and waits until someone opens it. Items bought while it's on the way ride along. Host's settings apply.
- NoCompanyFines: dying at the Company building doesn't cost the crew any money.
- DeathCauses: the results screen says how each player died, including the monster: Mauled (Thumper).
- CrewStats: a leaderboard screen on the ship's wall. For each player it shows scrap brought home, its total value, deaths and steps, kept for the whole save file. Scrap is credited to whoever picked it up first, not whoever carried it the last stretch, and only counts once the ship leaves the moon with it. Keys don't count. The board freezes while the ship is on a moon, so it can't give away who just died; it catches up when the ship leaves. The host keeps the score.
- ScrapBlacklist: junk scrap never spawns. By default that's Dine's nearly worthless body parts: Ribcage, Bone, Ear, Foot, Hand, Knee and Tongue (the Heart stays). Edit the list in the config. Host's settings apply.
- EnemyBlacklist: monsters that never spawn. By default: the Backwater Gunkfish, Cadaver Growths (so no Cadaver Bloom either) and the Feiopar. Edit the list in the config to bring one back or ban another. Host's settings apply.
- NoIndoorFog: no more random thick fog inside the facility. Fog outside is unchanged.
- QuietCats: NeedyCats' cats stop calling Eyeless Dogs to the ship when they meow. You still hear them.
- Suits: a rack of extra suits (Mario, Luigi, Master Chief, Badman, Glow and more). Add your own by dropping a PNG into
plugins/SouthpawSystems/suits/.
Controls and HUD
- FlashlightKey: press F to turn a flashlight in your inventory on or off without holding it.
- WalkieKey: hold R to talk into a switched-on walkie-talkie in your inventory.
- UtilitySlotPosition: the utility (flashlight/walkie) slot sits at the end of your hotbar instead of the top-left corner.
- HealthDisplay: your health as a number on the HUD, green to red.
- HideChat: chat fades away completely a few seconds after the last message.
- GhostCam: when you're dead, press G to fly around freely as a ghost camera. WASD moves level, jump and crouch go up and down. Press F while dead for a light that helps you see in the dark. Click to go back to following a player. Only you can see any of it.
Sound
- DropshipMusic: the dropship plays the Coffin Dance. The build-up plays as it comes down and the drop hits the moment it lands. Swap in your own song in
plugins/SouthpawSystems/sounds/dropship/and set its drop and loop times in the config. - HoarderBugSounds: hoarding bugs say yippee. Drop your own
.wavfiles intoplugins/SouthpawSystems/sounds/hoarder-bug/to add more. - SoundLimit: more sounds can play at once, so footsteps and voices stop cutting out in busy lobbies.
Fixes
- CarryWeightFix: fixes players getting stuck at walking speed. The game forgets to remove an item's weight when it destroys an item you aren't holding.
- ToiletPaperFix: toilet paper sits in your hand instead of in front of your face.
- InteriorHazardFix: custom interiors like Tomb no longer freeze the host in green fog.
Also included
- Moons and interiors: E-Gypt, Tomb
- Lobby: MoreCompany (up to 10 players), LobbyControl
- Monsters: Mirage (masked enemies mimic your friends' voices), enemy sound fixes
- Items and scrap: Gold Scrap, Buyable Shotgun, Needy Cats, Good Item Scan
- Quality of life: GeneralImprovements, TooManyEmotes, Terminal Formatter
- Performance: CullFactory, pathfinding lag fixes
