Legacy Enemy Skins Bridge
Legacy Enemy Skins Bridge makes compatible enemy model replacers work as mutually exclusive variants in Enemy Skin Registry. Instead of several replacers applying their models to the same enemy at once, Enemy Skin Registry selects one appearance for each spawned enemy.
Features
- Automatically detects compatible legacy enemy model replacers.
- Prevents supported replacers from stacking multiple models on one enemy.
- Adds detected models to the Enemy Skin Registry configuration menu.
- Supports per-moon skin distributions and vanilla model frequency through Enemy Skin Registry.
- Does not bundle or redistribute assets from other mods.
- Ignores mods that already support Enemy Skin Registry or Enemy Skin Kit.
- Client-side visual compatibility; the same skin mods are recommended for every player.
Requirements
- Enemy Skin Registry
- At least one compatible enemy model replacer
Model replacers are optional. The bridge only registers variants for replacers that are currently installed and enabled.
Configuration
Settings are available in LethalConfig:
Enabled— enables or disables the bridge globally. Restart the game after changing it.Automatic discovery— enables detection of compatible replacers outside the built-in catalog.New skin default frequency— controls the initial frequency assigned to newly detected skins.
Skin activation, vanilla appearance frequency and per-moon distribution are configured in the Enemy Skin Registry menu.
Built-in compatibility
- Coilhead: FNaF Endoskeleton, SCP-173, Weeping Angel, Better Coilhead, Touhou Sekibanki
- Bracken: Freddy, Better Bracken
- Ghost Girl: Cheems, Flandre
- Butler: Freminet
- Bunker Spider: Minecraft Spider
- Jester: FNaF Puppet
- Hoarding Bug: TBH Creature, Touhou Marisa
- Nutcracker: Touhou Satori
- Forest Keeper: Touhou Suika
- Old Bird: Touhou Utsuho
- Earth Leviathan: Touhou Yuyuko
Enemy Skin Registry-native packages such as ColorfulEnemyVariety, ExtraEnemyVariety, MoonEnemyVariety, NymphBracken, Perry the Snare Flea and GorgonzolaEnemyVariety are left untouched because they already provide mutually exclusive skins.
Compatibility notes
Automatic discovery supports replacers that apply a model through a standard Harmony patch during a vanilla enemy's initialization. Replacers using custom spawning systems or unusual runtime hooks may require a dedicated compatibility entry.
Source replacers remain responsible for loading their assets, animations, sounds and secondary behavior. Updating a source replacer can require a bridge compatibility update if its internal patch structure changes.
When reporting an unsupported replacer, include its Thunderstore link and a BepInEx log from a session in which the affected enemy spawned.
