More Drones
Two new drones. One very unsafe dance floor.
More Drones adds a Laser Drone and a Disco Drone to R.E.P.O. Use them separately, or put on a deadly light show.
Laser Drone
Point it where you want the beam to go and activate it with the normal item-interact control. While switched on, it fires a continuous laser using the same laser visuals and sounds found in the game's levels.
No attachment is needed, and it doesn't aim for you. Walls stop the beam. Players can get hurt too.
Disco Drone
Activate it and watch the panels open around a spinning mirror ball. It plays music and briefly distracts nearby visible monsters, giving you a chance to escape or set up something worse.
Enemies pause or use their existing interrupted behaviour, rather than custom dance animations. You get a short moment to escape when the music stops distracting them. The disco alone won't make a peaceful duck angry, but hurting it still can. They recover after a short time, so don't get too comfortable.
Combine them
- Deploy and activate the Disco Drone.
- Aim an active Laser Drone at the opened mirror ball.
- Watch six beams sweep around the room in changing directions.
The incoming beam has to hit the ball; you don't need to attach the drones. Move the laser away or switch off the disco to stop the reflections.
Keep your teammates out of the light show. The lasers hurt players and enemies, but don't destroy valuables.
Install and play
Install with Thunderstore Mod Manager or r2modman, include the dependencies, and launch Modded. Everyone in the lobby needs the same More Drones version.
Both drones can appear in the normal shop selection. They are not guaranteed in every shop. Use the usual item controls and battery charging; no extra hotkeys or debug overlay are added.
On a full charge, expect roughly 90 seconds of laser, 120 seconds of disco, or 60 seconds of combined laser fire. The disco's music volume can be adjusted or muted in the mod's config.
Good to know
Early release, developed for R.E.P.O. 0.4.4.3. Laser damage, wall blocking, the combination and battery shutdown have passed solo game checks. A real two-player session and every enemy or mod combination have not been verified. Some special enemy attacks may ignore the distraction.
