Compatibility Fix for REPOGambling by DirtyGames
This is an add-on fix specifically for REPOGambling 1.7.1 by DirtyGames.
Original dependency: DirtyGames-REPOGambling-1.7.1.
It is not a standalone casino mod and is not intended for other gambling mods.
What it fixes
- Slot machine reels fail to animate / remain stuck: restores compatibility with the old
ChatManager.PossessChatsignature used by REPOGambling. This also addresses that missing-method exception in other original mod paths using the same call. - Bet amount appears as solid rectangles: uses a language-independent font for the slot machine's
Bet Text, validates its atlas/material and required characters, and rebuilds the text mesh. It rechecks the font/material so localization changes cannot permanently undo the repair. The original mod continues to control the displayed bet and button actions.

Install
Install this package through r2modman or Thunderstore Mod Manager. The original REPOGambling is a required dependency and will be installed automatically. Fully exit and restart R.E.P.O.
For manual installation, merge the included BepInEx folder into your profile/game root. This package has BOTH a preloader patcher in BepInEx/patchers and a regular plugin in BepInEx/plugins; both are needed.
If you previously installed a test build manually, remove those manual copies before installing this managed package. Do not keep duplicate patchers/plugins.
Compatibility and testing
Tested with R.E.P.O. 0.5.0, Unity 6000.3.17, BepInEx 5.4.23.5, and REPOGambling 1.7.1 by DirtyGames. Slot reel animation and readable bet text/button changes were confirmed in the game by the tester.
The chat compatibility bridge patches the game assembly only in memory. It forwards the original arguments to the current method with the game's default locale. Original game/mod DLLs are not overwritten. The text fix targets only Bet Text beneath casino machine objects and does not modify shared font assets.
This fixes the two observed compatibility issues. It does not rebalance payouts, change configured odds, or claim to repair every multiplayer issue. Future game/mod versions are untested. Install on each player's client that needs these fixes.
