Empress Replay System v1.0.1 (Beta)

Record your matches and watch them back inside the game like a Halo Forge theater. This is not a screen recording. The actual level, your characters, the enemies, all of it gets rebuilt and replayed so you can fly around and see what really happened.

What This Mod Does

Every match you play gets recorded on its own. When you want to watch one back, you load it from the main menu and the mod rebuilds the entire run for you:

• The real level layout, exact, down to which doors were open or closed.
• Your character and everyone else, with their real animations (walking, sprinting, crouching, grabbing, tumbling, the lot).
• Enemies, valuables, the cart, physics doors, all of it.
• The real fog and lighting so it actually looks like the run did.

Then you get first person, third person, and a free flying camera to watch it however you want.

How To Record

Recording is automatic. Just play.

• AutoRecord is ON by default, so every match records and saves itself when the level ends.
• A small pop up lets you know when recording starts. The always on REC badge in the corner is OFF by default so it does not clutter your screen. You can switch it back on in the config if you like seeing it.
• Replays are capped at 100 by default and the oldest one gets replaced. You can change the cap in the config.

How To Watch A Replay

1. Go to the main menu.
2. Click the Empress Replays button.
3. Pick a replay from the list and hit Play.
4. The level loads, then your run plays back.

Playback Controls

• V switches the camera: first person, third person orbit, free fly.
• Tab switches which player you are watching.
• Right Mouse (hold) to look around in third person and free cam.
• WASD + Q and E to fly the free camera.
• Mouse Scroll to zoom in third person.
• Esc to leave the replay and go back to the menu.
• The bar at the bottom lets you play, pause, skip 5 seconds, change speed, and scrub to anywhere in the run.

When a player dies, their body vanishes and the camera follows their head as it rolls, exactly like it happened in the match.

Singleplayer And Multiplayer

Works in both.

• Singleplayer: records your solo runs so you can play them back whenever.
• Multiplayer: records the whole match from your point of view, every player, enemy and valuable you saw, and you watch it back on your own afterwards.

This mod is client side. Only YOU need it to record and watch your own matches. Your friends do not have to install anything. If two of you both run it, you each get your own separate recordings.

This Is A Beta

It is still being worked on, so expect a few rough edges:

• Enemies are a little odd atm and not complete but they do show up.
• A few small things like cosmetic boxes ect have simple boxes as visuals atm.
• When you load a Replay you will load into a level and it will begin to load. During this time ur game will freeze - Calm down, it is fine.
• When you exit a Replay you will see Cosmetic errors in the BepInEx console - Ignore it, it is fine.

The core all works. The level, players, enemies, animations, doors and the death cam all play back. More polish is on the way.

Notes

• BepInEx is required.
• MenuLib is required.
• Your replays are saved in a Replays folder right next to the mod .dll
