Portal Gun

⚠️ UNDER ACTIVE TESTING. The full feature set is implemented and should work in multiplayer when everyone in the lobby has the mod, but it hasn't had a full live co-op session yet. Expect rough edges — if something is unexpectedly janky, please report it. Best played with everyone in the lobby modded.

A genuine Portal gun for R.E.P.O. — place a linked pair of portals and travel between them with a seamless, camera-accurate through-view.

What it does

  • One expensive shop item per run — grab it, press E for portal mode, LMB = blue portal, RMB = orange, MMB = clear both.
  • Seamless through-view — look through a portal and see the far side, rendered live and camera-accurate.
  • Fling — momentum is preserved through portals. Fall into a floor portal, launch out a wall portal keeping all your speed.
  • Haul objects through — carry loot (or shove enemies) between portals; a real aperture means oversized things catch on the frame.
  • Placement — sticks to any solid static wall/floor/ceiling, auto-fits near edges, fizzles on movable/door/valuable surfaces.
  • Enemies perceive through portals — sound and sight carry across a linked pair (it's a traversal tool, not a magic escape — enemies can't path through).

Notes

  • One gun per run, shared and networked; whoever holds it controls the portals. Host-authoritative.
  • Everyone in the lobby needs the mod installed for multiplayer.
  • A "Portal quality" config (High / Balanced / Performance) is available if portals are heavy on your GPU.
