BetterHauler

Makes the Hauler's cargo bed usable: read the screen at a glance, see how much more it will take, and stop nudging valuables into the box one by one.

CHANGELOG

Changelog

0.2.0

  • Cargo Limit: set how much the bed holds, in dollars (20,000 is vanilla, up to 500,000). Rounds to the nearest 1,000 so the screen shows tidy figures.
  • Unlimited Cargo: the bed never fills. The remaining line reads NO LIMIT, and the percentage flash that would sit at 0% forever is skipped.
  • Accept Any Size: the bed takes valuables of every size instead of saying "Too big" to anything above small. Pairs with a higher Pickup Range, since big valuables still have to reach the volume.
  • All three live in a new Unfair section at the bottom of the settings page, default to vanilla, and - like Pickup Range - are decided by the host in multiplayer.

0.1.3

  • Fix: with Pickup Range above 1.0, the cargo total often didn't return to $0 after delivering. An emptied bed goes straight back to absorbing anything in its volume, and a widened volume reached valuables lying around the extraction point - so it refilled itself, and pulled in valuables that were about to be delivered normally. The pickup volume now drops back to vanilla while the Hauler is inside an extraction point, and returns to your setting when it leaves. The switch is immediate rather than waiting for the next scan.

0.1.2

  • New icon: the in-game cargo screen, straightened and sharpened so both lines stay readable at the size it's shown in mod lists. No change to the mod itself.

0.1.1

  • Store page only: new icon, and demo GIFs of the readout, the pickup volume and the settings screen. The mod itself is unchanged from 0.1.0.

0.1.0

  • Initial release.
  • Cargo screen shows how much value the bed will still take, on a second line under the vanilla number.
  • Pickup volume adjustable from 1x (vanilla, the default) up to 10x, with an optional translucent box so you can see what you're setting.
  • Screen and digit sizes adjustable independently, both vanilla by default.
