PackRat Backpack Fix (Unofficial)
An unofficial compatibility build of SirTidez's PackRat 2.1.0 for Schedule I 0.4.7f12, IL2CPP. This is a modified full PackRat build, not a standalone backpack mod or an add-on to install alongside PackRat.

Compatibility and testing
Tested locally with Schedule I 0.4.7f12 (IL2CPP) and MelonLoader 0.7.3. Save loading and opening backpacks with B were confirmed. Backpack tiers with 8, 16 and 24 slots were observed working.
Save/reload persistence, handover transactions, multiplayer and other game versions have not been verified. No Mono DLL is included; this package is not for the Alternate/Mono game branch. Treat this as an experimental compatibility build.
What changed
- Updated game API references and Harmony targets used by the 2.1.0 build.
- Replaced the missing HandoverScreen.Update patch with an update callback.
- Delayed that callback until the game initializes the handover screen, and cleared the cached reference when a scene unloads.
- Updated player inventory/load integration for the current game API.
The startup guard resolved a loading hang during local testing. This does not establish that every loading issue has the same cause.
Installation with Thunderstore Mod Manager
- Close the game and back up your saves and PackRat configuration.
- Use an IL2CPP Schedule I profile with MelonLoader. The test environment used MelonLoader 0.7.3.
- Disable the original SirTidez-PackRat package and any other full PackRat copy before enabling this package. Keep only one PackRat DLL enabled.
- Install this package (or use Settings > Import local mod for the ZIP).
- Launch Modded. Select a backpack item in the hotbar and press B to apply/open it; B toggles an unlocked backpack.
This package intentionally does not depend on SirTidez-PackRat because it already contains the full modified DLL. The DLL retains its original PackRat identity and may report version 2.1.0 in MelonLoader; 1.0.0 is this unofficial package's release number.
Manual installation
Install MelonLoader for the IL2CPP game branch. With the game closed, replace the existing PackRat-IL2CPP.dll in your Mods folder with the one in this ZIP. Do not leave a second PackRat DLL enabled.

Original PackRat code, backpack system and embedded assets: SirTidez and upstream contributors. Compatibility changes were prepared with AI assistance and tested locally by the package publisher. This package is not an official SirTidez release, and the original author has not endorsed it.
If reporting a problem, identify this unofficial build and include game/runtime versions and the relevant error excerpt. Remove personal information from logs before sharing.
Redistribution status
A license authorizing redistribution of PackRat has not been identified in the inspected source. This package was assembled for local testing and author review. Public redistribution is pending confirmation of the author's permission or an applicable license. No new license is granted over upstream code or assets.
