Hyland Helper

Hyland Helper adds a native-style companion app to the Schedule I in-game phone. It reconstructs the mixes discovered in your current save, shows ingredient chains and economics, lets you keep recipes locally, and connects to the optional Hyland Helper mobile app.

Installation

Installing with Thunderstore Mod Manager or r2modman is recommended. The declared dependencies install MelonLoader and the tested S1API Forked release automatically.

For a manual installation:

1. Install MelonLoader 0.7.3 for Schedule I.
2. Install S1API Forked 3.0.6, including its required Mods and Plugins files.
3. Copy these files into the game's Mods folder:
   • HylandHelper.BridgeMod.dll
   • HylandHelper.PhoneTile.dll
   • hylandhelper_icon.png
4. Start Schedule I, open the in-game phone, and select Hyland Helper.

Typical Steam path:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Schedule I\Mods\

Both Hyland Helper DLLs must come from the same release.

Mobile pairing

Pairing is optional. When the tile shows a pairing code, enter it in the Hyland Helper mobile app's Live Sync flow. Pairing is scoped to the active playthrough. Unlink revokes the connection and starts a fresh pairing flow without modifying the game save.

Network and privacy disclosure

This mod connects to https://hyland-helper-backend.vercel.app because network access is required for Community Recipes, recipe economics, optional mobile Live Sync, Phone Recipes, and Advisor Dispatches.

Community and economics requests send only the recipe data needed for the requested result. If you explicitly pair the companion app, the bridge sends bounded read-only snapshots and liveness messages for the active save. Those may include an opaque save fingerprint, app/device/profile scope identifiers, game/mod versions, rank and in-game time, money, product/mix data, inventory, and owned-property/layout summaries. A revocable bridge token is stored locally and protected with Windows CurrentUser DPAPI. The mod does not send your Steam login credentials.

The mod stores its own cache and status files under:

Read-only promise

Hyland Helper never writes Schedule I save or game state. It does not change stations, inventory, properties, NPCs, or the built-in Messages app, and it does not automate mixing. Save Recipe and recipe publishing affect only Hyland Helper's own local or paired-app data.
