LavaGang-MelonLoader
The World's First Universal Mod Loader for Unity Games compatible with both Il2Cpp and Mono
Preferred version: 0.7.3README
Difficulty Overhaul
More police, dangerous weapons, property raids and rival gang attacks for Schedule I.
Windows IL2CPP · single-player only. Tested on Schedule I 0.4.7f12 with MelonLoader 0.7.3. This package does not support the Mono/alternate game build. The overhaul suspends when another player joins.
Features
- More police: 40 officers by default, configurable from 30 to 40. Ambient deployment grows from 12 to 32 officers as pressure rises, keeping eight in reserve.
- Distributed patrols: additional officers deploy in pairs of two. Placement balances all ten route areas, separates starting points and uses short, connected street beats alongside native loops.
- Stronger weapons: some officers receive shotguns or advanced combat profiles. Offscreen replacements keep repeated pursuits dangerous.
- Property raids: defend an owned production property before the deadline. Losing removes workers, illegal stock, seeds, crops and drug batches. Laundering businesses are excluded.
- Rival gangs: the Benzies Family, Sierra Roja and Costa Verde attack you or hired dealers. Defeated dealers lose all carried items and sales cash. Benzies attacks stop once you defeat them in that save's story.
- Event-only display: a small countdown appears during raids and gang attacks, then disappears. No idle banner.
Pressure follows rank, properties and recent pursuits. Loading grace and recovery windows separate major events. Settings are available through the optional phone Mod Manager or MelonLoader preferences.
Install
Install with Thunderstore Mod Manager, then launch the game through that profile. The required MelonLoader package is listed as a dependency.
For manual installation, close the game, install MelonLoader 0.7.3, and copy Mods/ScheduleIDifficultyOverhaul.dll into the game's Mods folder. Keep only one copy of this DLL; remove a duplicate manual installation when moving to a managed profile.
Endgame Arsenal is optional. It supplies advanced weapon models when installed. Otherwise, enemies use native models with the overhaul's stronger combat profiles. S1API is not required.
Patrol coverage
This map records a verified example session: ten native loops, two short beats, and sixteen two-officer patrols. Thin paths show native loops, bold paths show street beats, and white rings mark pair starting points. Assignments vary with pressure and available officers.

Version 0.1.4
Two-officer patrols replace larger groups, route coverage is balanced, repeated starting phases after pressure changes are avoided, and loaded-map routes stay cached. The native copied-save test verified 40 officers, outside counts of 32 → 12 → 32, walking by all 16 pairs, raids, dealer losses, the Benzies story gate and cleanup. All 1,136 original save files remained unchanged.
More active NPCs increase the game's AI workload. Population creation and background updates are staged; reduce patrol density in settings if needed. Timing measurements cover mod work and synchronous calls, not gameplay FPS. Prolonged combat, complete patrol circuits and every save/reload combination remain unverified.
