README

Vein Mining

Mine entire ore deposits, including buried parts, on your own or together with friends.

  • Hold Left Alt while aiming at ore with a pickaxe equipped to start mining.
  • Double-tap Alt to keep mining automatically. Press Alt again to stop.
  • Work together on the same deposit with a shared progress bar.
  • Pause, repair your pickaxe and continue without losing progress.
  • Mine normally whenever you want—ordinary hits also reduce the remaining work.
  • When the bar is full, the remaining deposit breaks and drops its resources.

Supports copper, tin, iron scrap piles, silver, flametal and other supported deposits.

Mining speed: Adjustable from 1–10, default 3. In multiplayer, the server controls this setting. More miners speed up the job, with reduced bonuses for larger groups.

Requirements: BepInEx and Jötunn. Install Vein Mining on both the server and all players' clients. No other mining mod is required.

Tested with Valheim 1.0.16. This is an early release; testing with separate clients on a dedicated server is still ongoing.
