README

Server Manager client

This package contains the Valheim Server Manager client plugin. The server agent is installed by the Docker deployment; it is not part of this Thunderstore package.

The client provides server-owned characters, privacy-controlled inventory inspection, and a read-only mod allowlist check. It checks package metadata already present in the active BepInEx profile. Missing required packages, unlisted packages, or installed optional packages at unlisted versions disconnect the client with a persistent notice.

When the server owner configures a Discord Application ID, the client automatically shows that server's activity while connected; there is no client opt-in setting. Discord desktop must be running with activity sharing enabled. The server owner controls the image and text layout under Settings → Discord in the dashboard. Available variables include the current biome ({region}), server and world names, online player count, capacity, and free slots. The activity clears when you disconnect or the server disables it.

The client does not download, install, update, or remove mods. No installer, preloader, or mod manager is included. Manage the profile through your external mod manager and restart Valheim after changing packages.

The BepInEx plugin ID is dev.creaton.valheim-server-manager.client.

Privacy

Inventory inspection is enabled by default for new installs and required to join Server Manager realms. An existing disabled setting remains a refusal, and the server rejects that client after the handshake grace period. Authenticated server administrators can also give items through the inventory page; the client validates the item and delivers it into the local character inventory. Detailed telemetry remains opt-in.
