Salvage Station

A buildable station that takes crafted items apart. Put them in, pull the lever, and the materials that went into them come back.

A Valheim BepInEx 5 plugin built on Jotunn.

Features

  • Salvage Station build piece (Hammer > DFG). It costs the same materials as the Obliterator.
  • An 8 by 4 container. Put items in and pull the lever.
  • Crafted items return their recipe materials, including the extra materials spent to upgrade them.
  • Forge of Potential idols are returned only when the item was actually upgraded. A freshly crafted hoe does not produce a Wooden Battle Idol.
  • Smelted bars return the ore they were smelted from.
  • Items with no recipe, and leftover stacks too small to be one craft, are put back instead of destroyed.
  • The included model ships beside the DLL. The cog spins, and the station smokes, while a salvage is running.

Requirements

  • BepInEx 5 (denikson-BepInExPack_Valheim)
  • Jotunn 2.30.x (ValheimModding-Jotunn)

Installation

  1. Install through your mod manager (recommended).
  2. Manual: copy SalvageStation.dll and sal.glb together into BepInEx\plugins\SalvageStation\.
  3. Restart Valheim. The build piece is registered when a world loads.

Install it on the server and on every client. The piece is registered through Jotunn.

How to use

  1. Build a Salvage Station from the Hammer, under DFG.
  2. Open it and put in the items you want to break down.
  3. Pull the lever.
  4. The materials are placed back in the station. Anything that does not fit drops on the ground in front of it.
