Storage Sign
A buildable sign that shows exactly what's inside the chests around it, plus a full storage overview GUI to manage all those chests in one place. Build a sign near your storage room and never play "which chest did I put it in?" again.
A Valheim BepInEx 5 plugin built on Jotunn.
Features
- Storage Sign build piece (Hammer > Misc), 5x Wood — the vanilla text editor never opens; instead the sign face shows a live summary:
N chestsand the top items asname: count. - Overview GUI: interact with the sign (E) or press Alt+O to open a full-screen view of every chest within range — item and chest lists, with actions:
- Sort Name / Type / Count — re-sort the item list.
- Sort All — re-sort each chest's inventory.
- Consolidate — merge partial stacks across chests.
- Quick Stack — pull matching items from your inventory into the chests.
- Move — move all stacks of a selected item into a selected chest.

Installation
- Install through your mod manager (recommended).

How to use
- Restart the game after installing (the build piece is registered at startup).
- Build a Storage Sign (Hammer > Misc) and place it near your chests.
- The sign face continuously summarizes the nearest chests (up to
SignRangem away). - Interact with the sign (E) — or press Alt+O to open the nearest sign's overview — to see all items and chests in range.
- Use Sort, Consolidate, Quick Stack, or select an item + chest and press Move. Esc closes the GUI.

Notes
- Ownership: Quick Stack uses the vanilla
Container.StackAll()RPC (server-safe, no ownership needed). Sort/Consolidate/Move claim chest ownership locally — chests that can't be claimed are skipped and reported. This deliberately bypasses ward/guard-stone access checks (it's a personal organizing tool). - The vanilla sign text editor does not open on this piece (its
Signcomponent is removed on purpose). - Must be installed on both server and clients (Jotunn piece sync).
