Survival Movement & Exertion
Part of the Scavengers Survival Series for Valheim.
Survival Movement & Exertion makes running faster and more physical. Sprinting builds into a faster top speed instead of snapping there instantly, while long exertion gradually narrows the player’s vision, brings in heartbeat and breathing feedback, and makes a hard escape feel urgent rather than effortless.
It is built to make travel, combat, hills, weather, hunger, cold, tiredness, and injuries feel connected to the player’s body without turning movement into a chore.
What it adds
- Faster running with smooth acceleration and sprint build-up.
- Longer, more deliberate sprinting rather than short bursts.
- Gradual peripheral vision narrowing and tunnel vision as exhaustion builds.
- Heartbeat and breathing feedback during heavy exertion and recovery.
- Movement and exertion effects from hills, weather, hunger, tiredness, and injuries.
- Improved camera motion designed to feel stride-based instead of shaky.
- Exhaustion feedback through subtle visual narrowing, breathing, and recovery time.
- Configurable movement, stamina, exertion, audio, and visual settings.
How it plays
Fresh players can build speed and cover ground quickly. But a long run, steep climb, bad weather, low food, cold exposure, tiredness, or injuries will make that same sprint harder to sustain. The goal is pressure and immersion, not a permanent loss of control.
