This mod requires the following mods to function
denikson-BepInExPack_Valheim
BepInEx pack for Valheim. Preconfigured with the correct entry point for mods and preferred defaults for the community.
Preferred version: 5.4.2351README
Easy Auto Harvest
Harvest nearby resources as you explore, without aiming at each one or pressing Use. Gather berries, mushrooms, crops, loose materials, and supported modded resources while walking or running.
Automatic harvesting skips the picking animation while preserving normal harvest credit and skill rewards. You can also enable an extended pickup distance for loose items. Drops and resource regrowth stay the same. Manual harvesting and held Use actions work as usual.
Getting started
Requires Valheim 1.0.16 and BepInExPack Valheim 5.4.2351.
Install with Gale, or import the downloaded ZIP as a local mod. For manual
installation, copy its BepInEx/plugins/EasyAutoHarvest/ folder into your game's
matching folder. Start the game once to create the configuration file.
Walk near a resource within your normal interaction reach to harvest it. By default, turning off the game's auto-pickup toggle also pauses automatic harvesting. You can assign a separate pause shortcut in the configuration.
Your preferences
Edit BepInEx/config/com.loon.easyautoharvest.cfg, or use a compatible in-game
configuration manager. Saved file changes reload automatically.
The Local section controls your character's preferences. These settings stay
your own when you join a server, even if the server locks its shared settings.
| Setting | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
AutoHarvestEnabled |
On | Enable or pause your automatic harvesting. |
ExcludedPrefabs |
Empty | Resources you want to skip. |
RespectAutoPickupToggle |
On | Pause harvesting when the game's auto-pickup is off. |
SkipWhenInventoryFull |
On | Skip resources when there is not enough inventory space or carry capacity. |
ToggleShortcut |
Unassigned | An optional shortcut to pause or resume harvesting. |
DebugLogging |
Off | Log reasons resources are being skipped, to help troubleshoot. |
Resource lists use exact, case-sensitive prefab identifiers separated by commas
or semicolons. These may differ from the names shown in-game. With the game
console enabled, eah catalog lists known identifiers and whether each is
allowed or skipped. eah status shows harvesting and pickup range status;
eah pause and eah resume control your personal harvesting.
Multiplayer and server settings
Install the mod on the server and on each player who wants automatic harvesting. For 1.1.0, upgrade the server and participating modded clients together to 1.1.0 or newer. Earlier versions cannot be mixed with this version. Players without the mod can still join and harvest manually. If the server does not have the mod, automatic harvesting stays inactive and this mod leaves pickup range alone for connected clients.
The server's Server section controls shared rules:
| Setting | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
Enabled |
On | Allow automatic harvesting. |
BlacklistedPrefabs |
Empty | Resources nobody using this mod may automatically harvest. |
LockConfiguration |
On | Restrict shared-setting changes to server administrators. |
ScanIntervalSeconds |
0.25 |
Time between checks for nearby resources, from 0.1 to 2 seconds. |
ManagePickupRange |
Off | Let this mod control automatic pickup distance. When off, the game or another mod controls it. |
PickupRange |
8 |
Pickup distance in meters, from 2 to 10. Used only when range management is on. |
The server blacklist always takes priority over personal preferences. Blacklisted resources can still be harvested manually. In single-player, both sections of your own configuration apply.
Pickup range
Set ManagePickupRange = true in the server configuration to use the chosen
PickupRange. In single-player, use your own Server section. Changes apply
without restarting. Existing configs keep their settings and start with range
management off.
This affects loose items only; harvesting and manual interaction keep their normal reach. The game's pickup toggle and inventory/weight limits still apply. Pausing harvesting does not pause item pickup, and harvest exclusions and blacklists do not filter loose items. Normal pickup can collect items through nearby obstacles.
When range management is off, this mod never writes or resets your pickup range. You can leave it off to use another pickup-range mod. To switch to this mod, disable or remove the other range mod on clients and server, then restart before enabling management. Use one active range controller.
Things to know
- Harvesting pauses during menus, combat, building, and other actions that prevent normal interaction. Resources must be reachable and accessible to your player.
- Inventory checks estimate available space and weight. Unusual or modified drops can still exceed that estimate.
- Crops are harvested but not replanted. Mining, logging, beehives, containers, and machines are outside this mod's scope.
- Disable other automatic harvesters to avoid overlap.
