TwoStarTrophies
Creatures with 2 stars always drop their trophy when killed.
Trophies normally have a low drop chance, which makes trophy hunting a grind. This mod removes the luck for the toughest variants: if you take down a 2-star creature, you get its trophy.
Features
- Every 2-star creature that has a trophy in its loot table always drops it.
- Works with all creatures, including those added by other mods, as long as their trophy prefab name starts with "Trophy" (the vanilla convention).
- Only adds the trophy if it didn't already drop, so you never get a duplicate.
- Tamed creatures are excluded, so breeding and farming high-level animals can't be used to farm trophies.
- No config files, no setup. Install it and it works.
What it doesn't change
- 0-star and 1-star creatures keep the normal vanilla trophy chance.
- Bosses are unaffected, since they don't have star levels.
- No other loot, drop rates or creature levels are touched.
Installation
Requires BepInExPack_Valheim, which mod managers install automatically.
- Install the mod with Gale, r2modman or the Thunderstore Mod Manager. (for manual install drop the dll into your BepIn plugins folder)
- Launch Valheim from your mod manager.
Dedicated servers and multiplayer
Install the mod on the server and on every player's client. Drops are generated by whichever player or server currently owns the creature, so if only some players have the mod, some kills will still use the vanilla chance.
For a manual install, place 2StarTrophies.dll in BepInEx/plugins on the server and on each client.
Compatibility
TwoStarTrophies only adds a missing trophy after a creature's loot has been rolled, so it should work alongside most mods. Mods that completely replace or rewrite creature drop tables or creature levels may interact with it, so test if you use one. If you find a conflict, please report it.
