README

MoreBettererUpgrades

Originally created by renair. Tiered progression, armor support, and Deep North compatibility added by SaltyCypher.

Credit to Renair for creating the MoreUprades mod that I used as a basis for this mod.

Lets you upgrade weapons, tools, and armor past the vanilla level cap - but instead of just scaling the same starting material forever, higher levels require materials from later biomes, matching the game's own natural progression. A Bronze Sword eventually needs Iron, then Silver, as you keep upgrading it.

Features

  • Covers nearly every weapon, tool, and armor piece in the game, including Deep North / Valheim 1.0 content
  • Armor is split into Heavy, Light, Medium, Unique, and Cape weight-class families, each with its own real progression
  • Every cost is pulled from the game's own real recipes wherever possible, trying to keep balance as you progress through biomes.
  • Starter gear (Wood/Flint/Stone-tier) stays capped at vanilla's normal max level, so it can't be leveled to max for free

Configuration

  • Max item level - highest level covered items can reach (default 10)
  • Forge/Workbench/Any table level lock - station level requirements
  • Resource per level reduce - scales down per-level material costs
  • Stats per level increase - stat growth multiplier per level

Installation

Install via r2modman or the Thunderstore Mod Manager. Requires BepInEx for Valheim.
