PierSupports
Build bridges and piers without fighting to get supports down to the seabed.
Hold the extend key (Left Alt by default) while placing any vertical support (pole, pillar or column) and the mod stacks copies of that same piece straight down until it reaches the ground. That's it: no new pieces, no waterproofing, no other changes to building.
Features
- Works with every vertical support: wood, core wood, darkwood, iron-reinforced, ashwood, timber, stone, black marble, Grausten and Flametal. Modded poles can be added by name.
- Same piece, same cost: each added segment is a normal vanilla piece and costs its normal recipe. If you can't afford the full stack, nothing is added.
- Real structural support: a stack that reaches the ground gives full grounded support, however deep the water. Break a segment out of the middle and the pieces above fall back to vanilla support rules.
- Water or land: extends down to the seabed or to dry ground (cliffs, ravines). Can be limited to water only.
- Vanilla wear: submerged pieces weather like any other; nothing is made waterproof.
Usage
- Build out from shore or an existing structure.
- Hold the extend key and snap a pole underneath (e.g. to the edge of a floor).
- The pole stacks down to the ground and the message shows how many segments were added.
Poles still need something to snap to; vanilla does not allow placing pieces directly on the water surface.

Multiplayer
Client-side. The server does not need it.
Anyone who builds piers needs the mod. Every player who plays near deep piers should also have it: Valheim calculates structural support on whichever client owns that area, and a client without the mod uses vanilla rules, which can damage tall stacks. Shallow piers are fine either way. Players without the mod can still join and see piers as normal pieces.
Removing the mod leaves every pier standing as regular vanilla pieces.
