Creative mode for Valheim. Fly, build for free, spawn anything, drop nukes, burn stuff with a laser wand.
Single-player only. Not tested on multiplayer.
Creative mode is a per-world setting
Creative mode can only be used in worlds where it has been enabled:
- New world: on the Create World screen, tick Creative Mode (and optionally Super Flat world) in the CreativePlus box on the right side of the screen.
- Existing world: on the world list, select a world and use the CreativePlus button at the bottom right to switch Creative Mode on or off for that world.
Inside an enabled world, press F6 to turn creative mode on or off.
Controls
| Key | What it does |
|---|---|
| F6 | Toggle creative mode (enabled worlds only) |
| Double-tap Space (or F7) | Toggle flight. W/A/S/D move, Space up, Left Ctrl down, Left Shift boost |
| F8 | Creative menu |
| Middle mouse | Pick-block: with the Hammer equipped, select the piece you're looking at |
While creative mode is on you are invulnerable, have no stamina cost, build for free, and break trees, rocks, ore and pieces in one hit. You can swim and fly underwater without the camera being forced above the waves.
The creative menu (F8)
Search and category tabs for every item in the game (click = full stack, Shift/right-click = one), plus:
- Eggs - a spawn egg for every creature, bosses included (hotbar key spawns it where you look)
- Discs - a music disc for every track in the game
- Special - Tactical Nuke, Laser Wand, Jukebox
- Weather - force any weather type, lock the time of day
- Fun Stuff - Creative Music
Special items
- Tactical Nuke - calls down a bomb on your crosshair: mushroom cloud, a deep crater, destroyed buildings and trees, flung debris and every creature killed.
- Laser Wand - hold the left mouse button for a beam that destroys anything destructible and kills anything alive. Hold the right mouse button as well to dig into the ground.
- Jukebox - a wooden block. Use any Music Disc on it to play it; E stops it. While a jukebox plays, the world music is silenced within about 40 m and returns when you walk away.
- Creative Music - plays your own music files (see below) instead of the world music.
Super Flat worlds
Tick Super Flat world when creating a world. The land is flattened; biomes, oceans, rivers and vegetation stay the same as a normal world. This can only be chosen at creation.
Creative Music
Put your own .ogg, .wav or .mp3 files in the music folder next to the plugin DLL:
BepInEx/plugins/<ModFolder>/music
Turn it on in the creative menu under Fun Stuff. The tracks are shuffled, the world music is silenced, and turning it off brings the normal music back. No music is included with the mod.
Configuration
BepInEx/config/com.lawsh.valheim.creativemode.cfg has the key bindings, flight speed, nuke radius and crater depth, and the terrain edit depth limit.
Notes
- In creative-enabled worlds terrain can be dug deeper than the vanilla 8 m limit (default 40 m).
- Item and piece additions are saved with your world. Removing the mod removes those items.
