Wings of the Valkyrie

By the grace of the Allfather, the skies of the Tenth World are no longer out of reach.

Wings of the Valkyrie is a massive, physics-based flight overhaul for Valheim. Why trudge through the muddy swamps or sail across treacherous oceans when you can claim your birthright and take to the skies like a true Norse god?

This mod introduces four craftable tiers of majestic, glowing draconic wings, each woven from magical runes that react dynamically to your movement and momentum.

🦅 Epic Features

• Four Tiers of Ascension: Progress your aerial dominance. Craft Crude Wings from deer hide to survive basic falls, all the way up to the god-tier Dragon Valkyrie Wings forged with Eitr. Each tier grants superior lift, faster glide speeds, and a higher flight ceiling.
• Physics-Driven Auto-Gliding: Leap from a mountain peak and double-jump to unfurl your wings. The wind catches you immediately. Pitch your camera downwards to accelerate into a rapid dive-bomb, or pull up to stall your momentum and land safely.
• The Price of Flight: The Allfather demands stamina. Flapping your wings consumes your energy reserves, keeping flight balanced and immersive. Upgrading to higher tier wings significantly reduces the stamina cost per flap.
• Breathtaking Custom Visuals: Unfurl an 18-point articulated draconic skeleton, procedurally generated in real-time, bound together by a shimmering membrane of woven Norse runes. As you fly, runic energy bleeds from the wingtips into the wind behind you.
• Server Admin Control: ServerSync is strictly enforced! Server admins have absolute control over the configuration, allowing them to balance glide speeds, stamina costs, flight ceilings, and crafting recipes for their specific server.

🛠️ The Wing Tiers & Crafting

(Note: All stats below are the default values written in the ancient runes. Server admins can rewrite these via the config file!)

🟢 Tier 1: Crude Wings Tied together with basic hides, these are your first step into the sky. Low ceiling and slow glide.

• Forge: Workbench (Level 1) | 10x Feathers, 10x Leather Scraps
• Glide Speed: 10 | Flap Lift: 15 | Flight Ceiling: 120m
• Stamina Tribute: 10 per flap

🔵 Tier 2: Troll Hide Wings Woven from the thick blue hide of trolls, granting improved aerodynamics and a lighter stamina burden.

• Forge: Workbench (Level 2) | 5x Troll Hide, 15x Feathers
• Glide Speed: 15 | Flap Lift: 18 | Flight Ceiling: 135m
• Stamina Tribute: 8 per flap

🟣 Tier 3: Lox Feathered Cloak Heavy, powerful wings reinforced with silver. Extremely fast glide and massive lift capable of carrying a fully armored warrior.

• Forge: Forge (Level 1) | 5x Lox Pelt, 5x Silver
• Glide Speed: 20 | Flap Lift: 22 | Flight Ceiling: 160m
• Stamina Tribute: 6 per flap

🟠 Tier 4: Dragon Valkyrie Wings The ultimate mastery of the skies. Woven with pure magical Eitr, these god-tier wings grant dominion over the Tenth World.

• Forge: Galdr Table (Level 1) | 20x Feathers, 5x Eitr
• Glide Speed: 30 | Flap Lift: 28 | Flight Ceiling: 1100m (Reach the World Tree!)
• Stamina Tribute: 4 per flap

⚔️ Installation

1. Install BepInEx and Jotunn.
2. Place WingsoftheValkyrie.dll into your BepInEx/plugins folder.
3. Launch the game once to generate the config file at BepInEx/config/wubarrk.wingsofthevalkyrie.cfg.
4. Configure stamina costs, flap forces, and crafting requirements to your heart's content!
