README

Low Health Indicator

by YouDied!

When every food slot is empty and your health drops to 25 or below, a red heart starts beating next to your health bar. That's your cue to eat before you die.

Everything is set up in Configuration Manager (F1), and you can preview any combination in game with Left Alt + H without having to starve yourself.

Indicator Types

Type What it looks like
FlashingHeart Smooth red heart that fades in and out, with a soft glow
BeatingHeart (default) Heart that pulses "lub-dub" in size
PixelHeart Retro 8-bit sprite heart that blinks
HeartMonitor Scrolling ECG strip with a small beating heart
RedHalo Red glow pulsing around the edges of the screen (no icon)
WarningText Flashing text message (you can set the wording)

Turn on AlsoShowRedHalo to add the screen-edge glow to any of the other types.

Locations

NearHealthBar (default, sits just above the Forsaken power icon), AboveHead, TopCenter, TopLeft, TopRight, ScreenCenter, BottomCenter, BottomLeft, BottomRight

Use OffsetX / OffsetY to fine-tune the position from any of these.

Sounds (Heartbeat by default, set SoundType to None for silence)

Sound What it sounds like
Heartbeat Low lub-dub thump
DeepThump One heavy thump
RetroBeep 8-bit square-wave beep, old-school style
SoftPing Gentle chime
Alarm Two-tone warning

The sound plays in time with the heartbeat, so it speeds up as your health drops too. All sounds are generated in code, and none are taken from other games.
