TameableHares
A small, focused Valheim mod by nick008 that makes the vanilla Mistlands Hare tameable and breedable.
Features
- Vanilla Mistlands Hares can be tamed.
- Tamed Hares can use Follow / Stay.
- Tamed Hares can breed.
- Breeding creates a smaller hare kit which later grows into an adult.
- Hare kits are protected from the Butcher knife.
- Adult tamed Hares can still be slaughtered with the Butcher knife.
- Star levels remain part of Valheim's normal creature/procreation system.
- Hare sounds are reused for petting, breeding and birth; no custom audio files are added.
Food
Hares can eat:
- Carrot
- Turnip
- Jotun Puffs
- Apple (optional, when Valharvest is installed)
Default timings
- Taming: 25 minutes
- Fed duration per feeding: 5 minutes
- Hare kit growth: 33 min 20 s
- Pregnancy duration: 90 seconds
- Pregnancy chance: 66%
- Nearby hare breeding limit: 7
Installation
Install with a mod manager, or copy:

into your:

folder.
Notes
- The mod only modifies the vanilla Hare creature.
- Jotunn is not required.
- 2-star Hares are very large because that is how Valheim scales starred creatures.
