Version 0.11.0
For Game Version 1.3.0

Requires: BepInEx-BepInExPack-5.4.2305, NihilityShift-VoidManager-1.2.11, Jack_Modding-Ectype_Framework-0.20.0

💡 Function(s)

  • Gives every role the Scavenger's grappling hook on its own key, alongside that role's own ability. Using one does not take the other away.
  • The hook is the upgraded one, so it can pull carryables out of their sockets.
  • It has its own button and cooldown on the HUD ability bar.
  • A role that already owns the hook is left exactly as the game has it.

🎮 Client Usage

  • Press 2 (by default) to fire the hook. Hold to keep reeling in; a quick tap latches it; release or press again to let go.
  • The hook does nothing while you are seated.
  • Rebind the key, tint the HUD icon or hide it under F5 → Mod Settings → Personal Grapple. UseSharedClassAbilityKey also puts the hook on the role-ability key, which then fires both.

👥 Multiplayer Functionality

  • ⚠️ All players
    • Everyone in the room should have this mod, at the same build, along with the Ectype Framework. A crewmate without it sees you move on the rope but not the rope itself.
    • Marks the session as modded and disables progression.
    • Install new versions on every crewmate's machine at the same time.

🔧 Install Instructions - Install following the normal BepInEx procedure.

Ensure that you have BepInEx 5 (stable version 5 MONO), VoidManager and the Ectype Framework installed. This mod does not load without the Ectype Framework.

✔️ Manual installation - Unzip into a folder of its own under the BepInEx plugin directory

Unzip the package into its own folder under Void Crew\BepInEx\plugins\, for example plugins\Personal_Grapple\. Only PersonalGrapple.dll is needed to play; the other files are package information the game ignores. r2modman and Gale do this for you.

CHANGELOG

0.11.1

  • The hook is the basic one by default: it no longer pulls carryables out of their sockets. The advanced hook is now a developer setting ([Debug] ForceAdvancedHook), and an older config's saved value no longer applies.
  • README: crewmates don't need this mod, only the Ectype Framework. 0.11.0's listing said everyone in the room did.

0.11.0

First Thunderstore release. Gives every role the Scavenger's grappling hook on its own key, alongside that role's own ability, replicated so crewmates with the mod see it.
