Kitbash

Requires the Alloyed Collective DLC. A flying support drone built from the scraps of every other drone, firing their old weapons. Made for my own runs, but I hope you enjoy it too.

README

Kitbash

by BradTheFae

A note first: I made Kitbash for myself, to play in my own runs, so it's tuned for how I like to play. I'm sharing it in case anyone else gets a kick out of it, and I hope you enjoy it.

AI disclosure: Kitbash was made with heavy use of AI. BradTheFae came up with the character and directed and playtested everything. Claude (an AI model by Anthropic) wrote the code, built the drone model and its textures, and assembled the kit from the game's own drone weapons.

Requires the Alloyed Collective DLC. Kitbash borrows the expansion's drones (the Jailer Drone's cage, and the Drone Tech's heal nova, dash and robot voice), so you need to own it.

Kitbash is a support drone built from the salvaged parts of every other drone, still running all of their old firmware. It drops in from the sky instead of riding a pod, flies wherever you look, patches up its team, and when it finally breaks down it keeps fighting for a few seconds on its way out.

Skills

Passive: Salvaged Firmware Kitbash flies and takes no fall damage. Move forward to fly where you look, and hold Jump to rise. Every weapon is a real drone's, lifted straight from the game.

Primary: Gunner Burst Fire the Gunner Drone's burst of 4 bullets for 4x65% damage.

Secondary: Incinerator Spray the Incinerator Drone's flames at close range for 1000% damage, igniting what they touch.

Secondary: Twin Rockets Fire the TC-280's pair of explosive rockets for 2x250% damage.

Secondary: Heal Beam Link the Healing Drone's beam to the ally nearest your aim, healing them for 30% of their maximum health over 4 seconds. With no ally in range, it heals you for 20% instead.

Utility: Afterburner Dash a short distance the way you're flying, or where you're looking. Up and down too. Holds 2 charges.

Special: Emergency Protocol Release the Emergency Drone's healing nova. Every ally it reaches, you included, is healed for 25%, regenerates for 4 seconds, and gains a barrier of 15% of their health.

Special: Jailer Cage Drop the Jailer Drone's cage where you aim, rooting the enemies inside for 4 seconds and dealing 600% damage.

Ancient Scepter With the StandaloneAncientScepter mod:

  • Total Recall (Emergency Protocol): a 75% bigger nova, 50% more healing, a 35% barrier, and it cleanses debuffs
  • Maximum Security (Jailer Cage): drops three cages, each doing double damage

Skins

  • Default: the Gunner Drone's blue and navy
  • Siege Plating: a heavily armoured rebuild, bolted together from thick salvaged plate

Multiplayer

Everyone needs the mod (same version). It's been played mostly solo, so multiplayer is less tested.

Credits

  • Made by BradTheFae
  • Built with Claude (Anthropic), which handled the code, the drone model and textures
  • Built on the Henry template by rob / ArcPh1r3
  • Weapons, effects and sounds are Risk of Rain 2's own drones'; the skill and skin icons were painted for Kitbash

Feedback

Kitbash is built for my own runs, but if you find a bug, feel free to let me know.
