Engi & Artificer Tweaks
Tweaks for Engineer's TR58 Carbonizer mobile turrets and Artificer's projectile speeds. Every value can be changed in-game with sliders through Risk of Options.
Engineer: TR58 Carbonizer mobile turrets
| Setting | Default | Vanilla |
|---|---|---|
| Laser beam range | 50 m | 25 m |
| Firing engagement range | 50 m | 25 m |
| Chase range | 100 m | none |
| Sprint while chasing | On | n/a |
| X-ray targeting | Off | Off |
- Laser beam range sets how far the beam reaches.
- Firing engagement range sets how far away the turret starts shooting. Keep it at or below the beam range.
- Chase range: in vanilla, a turret only fights enemies within 25 m and otherwise follows you. With this mod it walks (or sprints) toward visible enemies within the chase range until they are in firing range. Set it at or below the firing range to turn chasing off.
- X-ray targeting: in vanilla, turrets (like monsters) only pick up new targets they can see. Turn this on and they spot enemies through walls, then walk around to get a clear shot instead of firing into the wall.
- The vanilla leash still applies: a turret more than 110 m from you runs back to you.
Ping to attack
Ping an enemy and all your Engineer turrets (mobile and stationary) switch to it. Mobile turrets chase it past the normal chase range and walk around walls to get a clear shot.
- The focus ends when the enemy dies, when you ping something that isn't an enemy, or after Ping focus duration (default 30 s; 0 = no time limit).
- The 110 m leash to you still applies.
- In multiplayer this needs the host to have the mod.
Artificer: projectile speeds
| Skill | Default | Vanilla |
|---|---|---|
| Flame Bolt | 160 m/s | 80 m/s |
| Plasma Bolt | 160 m/s | 80 m/s |
| Charged Nano-Bomb | 80 m/s | 40 m/s |
| Cast Nano-Spear | 240 m/s | 120 m/s |
| Tectonic Shards | 240 m/s | 120 m/s |
Tectonic Shards only last 0.3 seconds, so their speed also sets their range (120 m/s reaches 36 m, 240 m/s reaches 72 m).
