Jiraiya

The Toad Sage joins the survivors. Drown the battlefield in oil and turn it into a sea of fire, summon Gamakichi and the mighty Gamabunta, bind enemies with Wild Lion's Mane and finish combos with a Rasengan. Then gather nature energy: Ma and Pa land on your shoulders for Sage Mode, unleashing the Giant Rasengan, Sage Art: Goemon's river of fire and the paralysing Frog Song.

Built from the original Ultimate Ninja STORM 4 models, animations and voices. Choose his STORM 4 look (classic, or without his forehead protector and scroll) and his Japanese or English voice in the loadout.

Skills

Passive: Legendary Toad Sage Double jump, and hold Jump to run along walls.

M1: Toad Sage Taijutsu A palm strike, a sweeping kick and a hair strike chain into a 900% Rasengan. Hold the button to keep the combo going.

M2: Toad Oil Bombs / Flame Bombs (2 s cooldown) Spit two globs of toad oil that deal 120% each and splatter into puddles, coating enemies and the ground in slowing oil. Your next volley becomes Flame Bombs (280%), which ignite oiled enemies for 300% and turn oil into burning ground. The icon shows which shot is next.

Shift: Gamakichi (8 s cooldown) Launch up and forward while Gamakichi drops in and guards a 15 m area for 7.85 s, hopping onto nearby enemies for 300% slams.

R: Wild Lion's Mane (12 s cooldown) Living hair lashes up to 10 enemies within 29 m for 300%, restraining ordinary enemies and dragging them together in front of you. Bosses are staggered instead.

X: Summoning: Gamabunta (43 s cooldown) Gamabunta crashes down for 900% around him, unleashes a huge oil barrage and turns to face his targets for a sweeping 1800% tanto strike. One Gamabunta at a time.

C: Sage Mode (80 s cooldown) Stand still to gather nature energy for 2.5 s while Gamaken stands guard and Ma and Pa arrive; a bar under your crosshair shows the charge. You can move with your hands still in the seal, but the charge only builds while you stand still, and you can't be hurt while it builds. Press C again to cancel at no cost. For 45 s you gain the Sage kit below and +30% movement speed, take no ordinary fall damage, and your other skills refresh once as Sage Mode begins.

Sage Mode

M1: Frog Kata Three heavy strikes chain into an 1100% Giant Rasengan.

M2: Sage Art: Goemon (12 s cooldown) Jiraiya's oil, Fukasaku's wind and Shima's fire merge into a river of fire that scorches enemies, airborne ones included, and leaves burning ground.

Shift: Gamakichi A higher, stronger launch, and Gamakichi's slams hit for 500%.

R: Demonic Illusion: Frog Song (16 s cooldown) Ma and Pa sing their chant, then every enemy within 35 m takes 200% damage. Ordinary enemies are paralysed for 4 s, and bosses are heavily slowed for 3 s.

X: Summoning: Gamabunta and C: Sage Mode stay the same.

Controls

X and C are the Extra skill 1 and Extra skill 2 slots from ExtraSkillSlots. Jiraiya puts them on X and C the first time you play (unless another action already uses those keys), and you can remap them in Settings > Keyboard + Mouse. Your choice is kept between sessions.

Notes

• Multiplayer: everyone needs the mod (same version).
• Skins: Default, and No Headband (STORM 4's alternate Jiraiya model, without the forehead protector and back scroll). Sage Mode uses the Sage model for both, and on No Headband it leaves the forehead protector and scroll off too.
• Voices: pick Japanese or English in the Voices row of the loadout, just below Skins. Saves that used the old English voice skin switch over to English automatically.
