RobeStalker
Robe had enough of your shenanigans. Instead of jumpscaring you straight away, she will silently stay there and watch you. Her stare will enter your very core circuits until she has enough of staring at semibots and charges at you. Though the bravest shall repel her!
Say no more to opening a door and getting instantly killed because a robe was behind it. Say yes to creepily getting stalked until you know it's over.
For this to work, there is a hidden counter that gets higher the more she has direct line of sight towards a target. The target will be chosen randomly and it might change if the robe respawns or a second robe spawns. If you dare to stare back and look into her eyes, she will vanish in an instant, leaving you room to breath.
When the hidden counter is full, she will lash out and target you. Once this happened, you are marked as fully stalked for the whole level and each robe that has you as a target will immediately pursue you once she sees you. No exceptions. Don't let her stalk you.
You will know once you are the target by a shaking camera and distinct robe sounds playing in your ear for a short moment.
The mod is configurable. You can change many things, including an automatic respawn if you successfully repel the robe.. adding to the difficulty!
All players require the mod!
settings
| option name | default | description |
|---|---|---|
| bully mode | false | At the start of the map, one player will be targeted. All robes will bully this player. Host setting matters. Host setting matters. |
| Aggressive mode | false | The robe will be more aggressive this way. Currently affects revive and puts her to a target state directly. Host setting matters. |
| Target effect | true | When a target is chosen, it will receive an effect. Local setting matters. |
| Effect strength | 30.0 | Changes how strong the camera shakes during the target indicator effect. If the Target effect is disabled, this option has no effect. Local setting matters. |
| Effect duration | 1.0 | Changes how long the camera will shake during the target indicator effect. If the Target effect is disabled, this option has no effect. Local setting matters. |
| Stalking threshold | 30000 | Changes how fast the robe will stalk the player. Note that this triggers every Update-cycle, so keep the number high or it will be too fast. Host setting matters. |
| Stalking difficulty | 200 | Reduces the amount of stalking threshold per level. Note that if the stalking threshold gets to 0 due to this, players will be stalked immediately. Host setting matters. |
| Camera direction | 10.0 | How close the player camera must be to the robe. The higher the value, the easier it will be to spot her. Host setting matters. |
| Revive enable | false | If enabled, there will be configurable chance for a spotted robe to respawn at a random location. Host setting matters. |
| Revive chance | 2 | Sets the 1 in x chance for the robe to respawn when being spotted. Default 2 means 50% chance for respawn. If Revive enable is disabled, this option has no effect. If set to 1, she will always respawn until killed or natural despawn. Host setting matters. |
| Maximum Revives | 0 | Defines the maximum amount of revives per robe instance. This can be handy if you want a high chance (or even 100%) for revival but not have to repel her constantly during the run. 0 means no limit. Host setting matters. |
| Revive distance minimum | 30.0 | Defines the minimum distance to a LevelPoint for respawning robe. Distance is measured to the last position before she got stared back. Keep a good amount between min and max, or else no valid spawn points will be found. Host setting matters. |
| Revive distance maximum | 80.0 | Defines the minimum distance to a LevelPoint for respawning robe. Distance is measured to the last position before she got stared back. Keep a good amount between min and max, or else no valid spawn points will be found. Host setting matters. |
