README

Hunted

An asymmetric mode for R.E.P.O. One player is the killer. Everyone else is a survivor.

Everyone in the lobby needs the mod, on the same version. Only the host's settings count, so nobody else has to touch the config.

How a round works

  • The host is the killer by default (KillerName). It can also be a named player, or a random one.
  • Survivors complete the extraction points on the map. The goal is set per point.
  • The killer is invincible, faster and bigger, carries a sword, sees in the dark and has a zoomed-out map.
  • Survivors win by getting out. The killer wins when every survivor is dead or the time runs out.
  • Only small valuables spawn, and they respawn over time.
  • Both trucks stay shut until the extraction points are done.
  • The level is a custom grid with a killer room in the middle.
  • The killer's vision works on line of sight. Survivors that crouch or crawl are harder to spot, and standing in the open gets them spotted fast.

Install

  1. Install BepInExPack (a mod manager does this for you).
  2. Install Hunted.
  3. Restart the game fully.

Settings

The config file is BepInEx/config/Marin.Hunted.cfg, created on first launch. It has sections for the killer, extraction, level, killer room, valuables, health, boost, weapon, vision and debug. Every value has a limited range. In a lobby, the host's values replace everyone else's while they are connected.

Status

Early version. Most of it has been tested alone and has not had much play in a full lobby yet, so expect rough edges. Bug reports with the BepInEx/LogOutput.log from the host help the most.
