InstantRested

Reduces the delay before receiving the normal Rested buff while preserving vanilla resting requirements.

Features

• Shortens only the delay between entering vanilla Resting and receiving vanilla Rested.
• Requires the player to legitimately enter the normal Resting state.
• Preserves shelter, fire, wetness, danger, sitting, and other vanilla requirements.
• Does not change comfort calculations or Rested duration.

Client-Side Only

InstantRested is entirely client-side. The dedicated server does not need the mod, and other players do not need to install it.

Installation

• Gale: import the ZIP as a local mod or install it from Thunderstore after publication.
• Thunderstore Mod Manager / r2modman: import the ZIP as a local mod or install it from Thunderstore after publication.
• Manual: copy InstantRested.dll into BepInEx/plugins/InstantRested/ in the active Valheim installation or mod-manager profile.

Configuration

BepInEx creates BepInEx/config/dedryx.instantrested.cfg on first launch.

RestDelaySeconds = 1

RestDelaySeconds accepts values from 0.1 to 20 seconds and can be edited with ConfigurationManager. The setting affects only the waiting threshold; vanilla still grants and manages the Rested effect.

Built and checked against Valheim 1.0.12.

Achievements

Valheim 1.0 normally blocks achievements when it detects a modded client. Players who want achievements while using mods may need an achievement-enabler such as Unshamed. It is optional and is not bundled or required by InstantRested.
