This mod requires the following mods to function
denikson-BepInExPack_Valheim
BepInEx pack for Valheim. Preconfigured with the correct entry point for mods and preferred defaults for the community.
Preferred version: 5.4.2333README
Plugin PvPEnabled
Keep Valheim PvP permanently enabled. PvP remains off for the first five seconds after connecting, then Valheim enables it natively and shows its normal activation message. The mod prevents PvP from being turned off afterward and hides the unusable vanilla PvP toggle. It adds no custom PvP messages.
On death, PvP is disabled immediately. It remains disabled for five seconds after respawning, then Valheim enables it natively again. This grace period prevents another player from killing the respawning player before they have fully returned to the game. It protects only against vanilla PvP damage, not environmental or creature damage.
Multiplayer Requirements
| Client required | Server required |
|---|---|
| Yes | No |
Every participating player should install the mod. Unmodded players can still disable their own vanilla PvP setting.
Recommended Companion Mods
Permanent PvP can make recovering items after death especially difficult. Consider using PvPEnabled together with one of these plugins:
| Companion mod | Benefit in PvP |
|---|---|
| DeathPenaltyNoEquippable | Keeps equipped weapons, armor, tools, and other equipable gear on the player after death. |
| TombstoneLock | Protects tombstones from other players while allowing their owners to approve access. |
