Keep your adventuring kit when you unload materials. KALI Deposit Filters adds item exclusions to ArgusMagnus's ServersideQoL AutoStore 2.5.1.

AutoStore supplies the nearby deposit feature. This add-on filters what its emote deposit is allowed to collect.

Items kept with the player

• Weapons, shields, tools, bows and torches, including spare tools.
• Arrows and other ammunition or projectiles.
• Utility items, trinkets, quest items, keys and the Wishbone.
• Potions, meads and supported elixirs.
• Cooked food and prepared meals.

Vanilla's equipped-item protection is retained. Ordinary materials and raw ingredients can still be deposited into nearby chests that already contain a matching item.

The hotbar is not a protected area. This server-only method cannot see an item's original inventory slot. Materials on the top row can still be deposited.

Set up Thumbs Up deposit

First install the required AutoStore and ServersideQoL versions, including their dependencies. Start the server once to generate their settings, then stop it.

In BepInEx/config/ArgusMagnus.ServersideQoL.AutoStore.cfg, set these values in the existing [AutoStore] section:

These settings select a 10-metre emote deposit without automatic ground pickup or chest sorting. The add-on itself does not overwrite your AutoStore settings. Keep the upstream return-delay setting at its normal value unless you need to tune it for your connection.

Restart, stand near stocked storage, and use the vanilla Thumbs Up emote.

Compatibility and limits

Verified against AutoStore 2.5.1 and Valheim 1.0.20. The patch disables emote deposit if it cannot apply its expected filters to the upstream method. Review compatibility before updating AutoStore.

This does not extend the chest's Place Stacks button, change ordinary chest access, or provide simultaneous chest use. Custom items depend on their item types, names and recipe data being classified correctly.

59 native runtime assertions cover exclusion behavior and transfer-related cases. They are not a guarantee against every remote-network edge case.

Removing it

Stop the server and remove FinallyDepositFilters.dll. AutoStore remains installed and returns to its own exclusion settings. Check those settings before players use deposit again.

Installation

1. Back up your world and existing configuration, then stop the dedicated server.
2. Install BepInExPack Valheim 5.4.2351. Also install ServersideQoL-2.5.1 and ServersideQoL AutoStore-2.5.1, with their declared dependencies. These are separate projects by ArgusMagnus.
3. Merge the package's BepInEx folder into the dedicated-server folder. Keep the subfolders intact.
4. Start the server and check BepInEx/LogOutput.log for a successful plugin load.

Install on the server only. Clients need no mod. These releases target Windows dedicated servers; console-client and Linux-server compatibility have not been independently validated.

The DLL and configuration names still begin with Finally or local.finally, the project's original internal name. Keep only one copy of this plugin installed.
